Went to the game yesterday and afterwards done the obligatory waiting for players to sign my boys autograph book and pics which they were all accommodating to do so. Jack came out at the end with Bertrand, so I asked JC when are you going to sign a new contract, his replicas simple,"they haven't offered me one to sign". This in my view is madness, get him signed up he loves the saints and one of our most versatile players to boot!!!!!!

New song inspired by the Argentinians at the World Cup
Pompeyh8r replied to gogo_saint's topic in The Saints
Love this video it is such a catchy tune, think a song to work needs to be kept short and simple so here goes to the same tune, ahem forgive me if its carp: We are Ronald Koemans Army He is the leader of the Saints Who the f##k is Adam Lallanna We have Grazi Pelle and Tadic Stay away from Anfield They'll try and steal our soul We are Saints and never die I thank you in advance for numerous insults lol. Cmon you reds -
A touch of class, but wouldn't expect anything less from this man. I want to say a huge thankyou, not just for what he has done for this club and country, but most importantly to me, being a role model to my son. If my son has half the dignity that Rickie has displayed at this club I will be a very proud man. My son loves you, I love you we all love you Rickie. Good luck mate, I wish you well........(just not against the Saints).

He became a cropper from the day he was born, so to now be a pro footballer he has done well. Ahem, I thank you, I am here all week, well at least until my taxi arrives.

Ok here goes, I know I am leaving myself wide open for criticism, but feel compelled to write this, as a member for a few years now and a man with few posts, I just wanted to express a couple of opinions on where we are and what we need. Firstly with respect to the game on Sunday, I think the saints need to take a huge amount of credit for the performance we put in against the current champions of the best league in the world. Man City conceded 12 goals at home last season in the premier league 3 of which came in one game against a bizarre match v Sunderland, leaving 9 goals conceded in 18 games. So for us to go and score 2 needs to be noted. I believe we have some fantastic assets, Ricky, Adam, Clyne, JWP, Jos to name a few, however our biggest asset has to be Nigel. He has come in for some unjust criticism, for his starting 11 but this is why I believe he was clever on Sunday, as he clearly had a game plan, which was to start with Guly, it didnt really work although Guly did try hard, the most importnat thing was that we had a plan B if it wasnt working particularly well, and his plan B was to bring on Rickie, change the formation, and this turned the game, now obviously Rickie deserves great credit for the way he galvanized the team and scored a great goal, but if he had started with him, and it was a brave call not to, would we have then had a plan B if things stayed the same. Nigel was brave and deserves praise for sticking to his guns. For the record I believe Rickie should start and show the world that he is capable of playing in the PL. I also believe that Jose and Jos, deserve great credit for the way they played. Much has been made of our CB lack in depth, I agree we do need another 2 CB's, but after the way the handled themselves on Sunday I think that we should stick with J & J. Special mention to Jose, who was assured, and made some vital interceptions, touches etc, that broke down a lot of their attacks. The one area for me we need to look at is the left side, we didnt look balanced at all especially in the first hald, J Rod is not a left sided attacker, like Gervinho has been made at Arsenal and as much as I Like Danny Fox, I am not sure he is PL quality, Zabaletta is not known for his lightning pace but he exploited our left side with ease, my fear is that when we play against Wingers such as Lennon and Walcott with pace, they are going to burn Danny expecially coming in from the wing with the inside channel ball, between CB and LB which can lead to all sorts of trouble. For me I would like to see Adam back on the left, he can cross from the by-line he can come inside go near post and back post which is where you will find Rickie lurking 9 times out of 10, also Adam, has been playing on the left for a long time now and has an idea of what his duties are defensively. If it happens and I so hope it does, Ramirez in for Adam, push Adam out left, and look to bring in another left back to at least compete with Danny. For me Danny has one gear, and that is a worry, on the plus side though he does deliver a great cross when he gets in those positions and takes a good set piece. I am a happy Saints fan, we are where we should be and I am living the dream, please dont think I am being negative, just trying to be constructive with my vew point.

I am very pleased with this signing, strength and depth is key to us in the coming season, and see this as a great bit of business for us, although I hope when he met our chairman, he realised there will only ever be one NC. Not sure if anyone suggested it but have got the urge to say this......" Nathaniel Clyne is oh mine, oh mine, Nathaniel Clyne is oh mine" I shall umm........get my coat.......again.

Moose is as Alan Brazil often quotes " a tube" he antagonises the presenters on talk sport and that says something a la, Durham. I like Talksport it keeps me listening, but the only thing that winds me up is that it may as well be West Ham Radio, as Moose always has to refer back to them whatever the story is that day.......think about it he has done exactly the same again, he has gained a reaction from his inept knowledge and ability to wind up the right people.

How are these latter posts J ROD related??
-
Top post, glad he has been recognised for putting an honest quality shift. I believe he could b our most important player for the remaining away matches. My reason for this is that his ball retention is critical especially when we are under the cosh and looking to close out a win. A player who you can give the ball to when all else round you is falling down in priceleess. Morgan also puts out lot of fires un-noticed with his covering for out attacking options. Well done Morgan you deserve all his praise.

Whose Billy Sharp never heard of him, is he related to Pat or Graham???

Adrian Durham supports Posh, says it all to me, someone spouting off again about their fantastic angelic team and Saints being the complete opposite. DF you have a lot to learn

Top top guy off the field, very good to my boy after the game signing his shirt, programme and auotgraph book, I asked him if he was staying he smiled and said ' I hope so'. Straight from the horses mouth so to speak. I hope he does stay, I see the Jos and Jose partnership getting stronger and stronger.

Listen mate, I cant hear a word you are sayin ' A little less conversation a little more action please'.

I agree entirely, although it is a little embarassing we dont have a wealth of english managers ready to take the reigns, the next manager doesnt have to be English, the media portray this bulldog type leader who will take us to glories, but the last English Man was more famous for his brolly than his tactical knowledge and no passion. It has to be the right man, regardless of him having to be homegrown. Just couldn't stand it if he got HR got the job, but then again, England aren't my number one team, as long as we keep hold of our Nigel, cant see him going back to Sc##phorpe.

Its been a while since started a new post, but want to throw this one out there, to gauge saints fans opinions. It is well publicised that Capello is out the door by the end of the 2012 Euro's and it seems a distinct possibility that old bagpuss, is one of the, if not the favourite to take over the reigns of the 3 lions. A mate of mine asked me the other day how would I feel if Harry got the job, and I replied, whole heartedly, that I would hate it, I have little interest in the lack of passion shown by the current england team, but if he became manager, I would lose all interest. My mate accused me of being pathetic, but I told him as a Liverpool fan he wouldnt understand, how I feel, and maybe most other saints fans feel. So my question is, how as fellow saints fans, would you feel if he became manager. I cant stand the guy and everytime I see him on TV my blood boils, I'd rather Alan Pardew or big Sam got the job over that bloke.
