He is our back up at centre back....back up to 2 **** poor centre backs. Hes a poor player, he doesnt have any particular strength, hes more a jack of all trades, all being very poor. I hate picking on individual players, but lets be honest, hes ****, so is Wotton, so is Perry, and a few others. Well done Dean Hammond on putting such a brave face on joining a team 18 points adrfit of ur former club....at least the bigger pay packet will help.

Firstly, delighted to get Dean Hammond, a good player who will add some quality to the midfield, but i still think he needs a partner. Brentford on Saturday will be a massive game, but if we do not bolster what is a poor set of centre backs we wil get beaten again. I honestly dont feel that we will sign them before the weekend. I said on Staurday ican see thi sgoing horribly wrong, and i still hope im proven wrong. This a tough league for the unprepared, and we looked horribly underprepared last nite. For 4 seasons ive gabbled on about no centre backs, no central midfeild, and until that is sorted, we will be bottom for a long time. The relegated players are used to losing, they dont know how to win, so winners must be brought in! Pardew had a good squad when they were relegated with Charlton and h emanaged to drain the life out of them,lets hope that isnt happening again, but the similarities arethere to see ( without the good squad ofcourse). I like Pardew, he talks alot of sense and was excellent at West Ham on the whole. But, he doenst look like a man with the answers to this league, last night was a feable as anything from last season. -9..... I hope it will only be three more games till we reach nought, but if the current trend continues, it could be three months.

My best mate is a Terriers fan and he said we were battered....he would though. Said our midfield kept giving the ball away, and we looked shakey at the back all game. THis is nothing new, we have needed a decent pair of centre backs for the last 2 years, wotton is very poor, and Lambert needs a partner or two. Thwe fact is we are simply not strong enough yet, and its all very well Mr Cortese telling us about this magical sporting director, he should be concentrating on buying some players to win games. I hope im wrong, but i can see this going very wrong very quickly unless we sign 4 or 5 players to strengthen what is essential a squad bereft of a central defence and midfield. GET ON IT!
