  1. I wont be booing - I wont be there. I burned my season ticket this afternoon. A little rash - maybe? Worried about it - not at all. Disgusted. I shall watch the game though in the hope Cortese gets the reception he deserves
  2. Had a few hours to digest the news - and am still somewhat shocked, but above all disappointed. During our sticky patch prior (WBA away being a low point) I did think to myself maybe Adkins is out of his depth. He proved me wrong. He changed things - Cork and Shaw coming into the team made a huge impact, and changed the course of the season. Hes made mistakes, but anyone would who was in the early stages of being a premier league manager. He was improving the team, the image of the club, trusting the youngsters, and a classy front man with the media. But these things will not be my lasting memory of his management of the club - instead it will be his humility and dignity. Lets not dress it up - he has been treated disgustingly. There is no excuse or logical reason for his sacking. My faith in the club has gone - and will not return until Cortese is gone. Now if the Argie beats Everton and Man Utd - wonderful; but it will not make up for what has happened. Cortese helped save the club, but he has now made a decision which may well set in motion its downfall. Mark my words, support the Argie or not - it is irrelevant, the players will not like this - we will be in bottom 3 come the end of the season. Once again, thanks Nigel Adkins, if you need a filler job for a few days / weeks I can easily find you some work in my business ( thats a genuine offer). You have been a breath of fresh air for this club - you will be dearly missed by all proper football loving fans. My season ticket has been destroyed. And I wont be renewing it. After all, money talks with Cortese - but logic is unimportant.
  3. Delighted with the win, delighted with the 3 points, delighted with the other results. Cant wait for Coventry at the weekend, an away win before we go into the international break really would make it a dream start. That said, if we lose, its still a dream start.
  4. Wow - I really did not see this coming. Mr Adkins - I congratulate you. AND we've given AL the week off. Tidy
  5. Great article...in the Sun? Come on. Intriguing to see his ambition, how much of it is hot air to appease fans who knows. That said I've got alot of time for Cortese, but I wouldn't trust a character like that. He shouldn't speak to the Sun - the paper is a cancer, no need to kiss and make up with that sort of outfit
  6. He was sticking up for MLT - and Lawrie Mac. I can understand where his point was coming from -they should have tickets for life. Then again he can probably afford to pay for his own tickets being on Mr Murdocks payroll. In spite of that legend ( MLT, not Jeff stelling).
  7. Absolutely brilliant start -beyond my wildest dreams. The boy wee Adam is a touch of genius, hes improved 20% on last season and looks a class apart in this league. Delighted for Lambert, hes a proper pro and done huge things for this club. Jack Cork is class - the signing of the season in this league. Adkins hasnt spent the big money like Sven, he hasnt needed to , clever buys of class players - brilliant manager. Now lets get on the road and give Burnley a slap!
  8. ...i take it back, Millwall are awful, but so are Huddersfield. A **** match between 2 **** teams. Great
  9. Millwall to win 3-1, they will turn it round at half time...you heard it here first
  10. Lets be honest, we werent very good today, thankfully Orient are awful, and most likely going down. MAIN THING, 3 points and enough of the results continue to go our way. If we win our last 7 im sure it'll be enough. We'll up our game for Charlton and beat them, the key game of the season will be Rovers away...if we win that we might just have a chance of pulling of a little miracle. ( By that i dont mean giving hand pleasure to Theo Walcott).
  11. Jaidi and fonte are a cracking partnership, and with davis back (although bart did very well) we look strong at the back. Whats really exciting me is the possibility of both Danns and Stock joining. Ive seen quite a bit of Stock and hes a class midfielder, surprised lower end premiership teams havent taken a punt on him. Him and Hammond together would be class, hes a better player than Morgan and still relatively young. The possibility of Danns and Lallana flanking these two has gotten me slightly aroused. Well done all, keep it going
  12. thats what happens when you put a full strength team out in a mickey mouse game midweek , players will get tired
  13. Think uve missed the point, the players arent jokers, but whoever made the decision that the bloody JP trophy is more important then the league
  14. not gunna get anything here, they'll score again. At least we won in the Johnstone paint trophy... cos that was important wasnt it so our players look drained today, what a bunch of jokers
  15. absolute dross. Please people accept we aint a top 4 team, lets survive this league then attack it next season, always gunna lose today
  16. Wotton is awful. A few half decent games doesnt make him good. Bad feeling bout this one 2-1 to Orient me thinks
  17. 2-0 to Dons, final score..... u heard it here first. and ull hear it again at 4.45
  18. 2-0 final score to the Dons, we arent as good as people reckon we are.
  19. well, i said after huddersfield we were in trouble. Now were in real trouble, were charlton number two for soundbite alan. Useless
  20. Oh dear, a few people upset by me questionning Pardew. My poitn is, there are team sin more aof a mess then us, far less resources, far worse players.... yet they are winning games. 1 win all season is poor, fact. we are still as far adrift of safety as we were in August, fact. This is all very reminiscent of rent a quote pardew when he was at Charlton. I would love the guy to succeed, but it just isnt at the moment. He talks a damn good game, but any other manager with that squad and 1 win all season would be in fear of his job. This next week will tell us alot, if our home form begins to produce wins then we have progress, if not, well, the daggers will fly.
  21. ....a lucky point right at the end. Are we beginning to think Pardew is ****?
  22. Another good days work fromn Pardew. I wish my best mate wasnt a Charlton fan, he may be bias, but he reckons pardew is a total joke and we'l be lucky not to get relegated. I knwo everyone is gunna retort with 'give him time' blah blah blah. But, lets face it, were bad. See you against Colchester on Saturday. 1-1?
  23. Nope, more then his life is worth. No permanent signings, we may get a loanee, the Jaidi deal wont be sorted today, if at all. Oh dear
  24. SORRY FOLKS....no signings...just heard from SMS. oh well, was hoping for a certain ex Scunny striker, insteda got... well no one. still, i reckon we may just stay up. Maybe
  25. Ive been very negative this season...and im afraid its not gunna change. I honestly believe we will be well adrift and on course for relegation for the whole season, we havent got a winning mentaility and it will take months to get one, by that time it'l be too late. I SAY IT NOW....SAINTS WILL BE A LEAGUE 2 CLUB THIS TIME NEXT YEAR. You can slate me all you want, but Lowe etc have dug us into such a deep whole that the whole club is going through a positive processs of change, but it will take time, and by then end of that time we will have been relagated.
