  1. i met wilde...actually on a few occasions, and in a professional manner. for some reason i am not sure of, his plans never worked, and i feel from meeting him, i believe he has massive regrets about the whole situation. something about him changed from when i first spoke with him on his first day at the club, (how optimistic he was) and now. what that is, i dont know, but its like maybe something changed in his life, and he couldnt persue his dreams for the club. seriously lads, would someone invest that much money into something, and then walk away as quickly and quietly as he did? there could be more to this, none of us know about....personal life?? causing him to be easily manipulated by lowe?? lets be clear, the man has registered on here, according to admin, so he must have some good to him...but saints just never got to see it. think rather than everyone wishing him dead:eek:, and he is a "full member" on here, might be a good chance for everyone to just ask him why....and maybe he'll reply????
  2. this is gonna run and run... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11695
  3. who's the guy in the official club tie talking to dave jones?
  4. no. it was closed due to staff meeting at the ground, said the staff in there. went in there today as well, and it was really quite busy, and had the matt DVD playing full blast!
  5. another media myth you'd obviously like to believe... penalties awarded in the premiership this season... wigan & blackburn 5 villa, everton, stoke & newcastle 4 fulham, hull, man city, west brom, p'mouth & boro 3 arsenal, liverpool, UNITED, west ham 2 chelsea, sunderland, spurs, bolton 1 and considering the amount of attacking teams like united and arsenal do, its quite surprising really. back to the point there are plenty of players at the club who could play wide, but you need solid players in the middle of the park to be able to play that way. wotton and schneirderlin(sp?)????
  6. debts the clubs shouldnt have! both clubs have notloaned money to get where they are, i.e chelsea, portsmouth etc. just tossers of owners who borrowed money to buy the clubs, then putthat debt onto the club. wrong, very wrong:mad:
  7. graham roberts? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Roberts_(footballer)

  10. i predict the concourse will get trashed
  11. good question?
  12. the Man United game would be the best boycott! everyone has a ticket & its a sell out, but, there's good chance a defeat(although you never know!?!), so... what better publicity than live on tv, against the league, european & world champions? a mass sitdown outside? imagine it? commentators plugging a sell out crowd, when its actually half empty? what is needed, is to advertise the fans passion...(and missing a high profile game like, the United game, would do that) to perspective investors, yes/no? seriously, what is a sheffield united boycott gonna do? a few hundred not turning up would not even make an effect if the boycotters are no where near the ground. fact my friends. i think that is the biggest issue at saints is ...lack of investment. cant blame lowe, crouch, wilde etc,...they are shareholders...thats all, however its looked at:smt045 tell me a chairman/Chief executive that holds just 6%, or whatever it is he(RL), owns, that actually puts personal money in? none! an owner-abramovic/madjeski/Lerner OR decent investor (lewis at spurs and rangers(?), the late matt harding etc) who owns 30-50%, and who is willing to put a bit in the coffers, is what the club needs. lets perhaps change the battle plan from against lowe and co-and essentially the team, and do what IS capable AS fans, to help the team, by publically and basically asking for financial help! good idea or not???
  13. thomas played well in that he cleared everything into the stand v brum but it was funny how he could not cope with the "total football" being played (which was excellent that day:)!) you're right though...that is just what is needed right now
  14. 1 game is a drop in the ocean(particularly as its shared gate receipts) 10 games would show the banks and increase in turnover, would it not?
  15. what a load of boll**ks. if 26000 turned up every week, there would be no need for administration, and so what if it cleared the debts. the club is basically in administration now, there are so many cuts taken place that administrators will not only carry on what the current board are doing anyway. you are a bell end of the highest. your agenda is simple; lowe out, f*** the club. total t*at.
  16. great addition to the city centre...seriously hope it goes thru. the waterfront area is ****e in town and with west quay getting closer to it, new developments will eventually follow:)
  17. wasn't jan on about 70k a year at his last club and is probably on about 100k now, the threeof them are on probably 300k between them and pearson was getting 400k, so the club are getting three coaches (i reckon) cheaper than before. also would pearson have been able to work with the kids and no stars as he'd have had to? doubt it personally.

  19. great pub! use it often. some of the best people you will meet, (obviously some nobs, but in the minority) if you actually tried going in there;) AND they are reopening the old off licence/kebab shop attached to the side and making the menu bigger in the next 2 weeks... proper local:) roughest pub for me was The Tudors in shirley warren. used to be like something out of a western film when fights kicked off on a satdee night, chairs everywhere, but next day everyone met in there again and laughed it off, and carried on(drinking that is:D)
  20. but it isnt academy football. academies are under 19's (arent they?), so why should these kids sit in a reserve team? the average age now is similar to that of the busby babes, and more recently the young arsenal side everyone raves about. perhaps maybe just maybe, if everyone got down to the ground and supported these kids there would not be a risk of a load of them being sold??? also, would it not be so much more satisfying to see a group of kids come through the ranks together, and get this club back to the prem or even close?
  21. speaking of chris newman... never seen this before http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hxVME_uSZzk&NR=1

  23. osbourne. apparently jan personally asked mike (the landlord) by letter if he could meet with supporters as he'd been told it was a "big saints" pub, and wanted to get to know fans better, and hear their views. never went but some mates did, and jan was serving foschters behind the bar and everyone had a really good night:)
  24. should he? yep. would he? prob not. my point is about the money and lowe. got into a right argument yesterday with a mate cos he says saints made 23m profit in the cup year and where's that money gone. trying to explain to him it wasnt profit and it was just how the nobs at the echo made it look, did my swede in:D this is the thing, there has never been much money to be made in saints or most football clubs really, but some people still seriously believe lowe and others have made all these millions out of the club:smt102 its all a load of b*******, and people should just get down the ground, whether you jib in or pay, and support these kids. IMO
  25. yeah and how many are saying they dont go cos of lowe, yet never went last year either? just a handy excuse for loads of divs who would turn up next week if it was liverpool in the cup:rolleyes: and yep football is way too dear regardless of who's on the pitch. lets just hope the bubble well and truly bursts, and football returns to the people soon eh:)
