CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons
davefoggy replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
I'm looking forward to seeing Mane fail in a Liverpool shirt. He's just too inconsistent to secure a starting place at a "big" club and coming off the bench he often trys too hard. He is a very much a confidence player and can barely stay on his feet when things are going against him. But i wish he was staying as we don't have anyone with his skill, on his day he is simply unplayable and that super quick hat trick against Villa will stay in my memory for ever, great day! I still don't understand why players are so keen to leave at the first offer. Is it ambition or greed? Surely a regular starting place is a better option? -
What????? Which game were you watching? When i watched England in '96 we were awesome, tonight we were utter ****e

Not a chance with Roy in charge!!!!

Why do people keep harping on about "the future"??????? Whats wrong with "the present"? Defoe is absolutely on fire and deserves a call up. Wilshere? Henderson? Delph ffs??????!!! Roy should be sacked now while there is still time to save some dignity. My prediction with that squad: 3 defeats

James Ward-Prowse signs new six-year deal with Saints

Although I have been slightly critical of JWP (mainly in his lack of ability to hit the bloody target!!) I think its great news that he is on a long term contract. He always gives 100% to the team and you can't fault that. I want players at Saints to be proud to pull on the shirt and he is certainly one of those. Good for him -
I saw Zlatan in the Grand Harbour Hotel this morning, just saying like. Big Lawrie was also there....

Thanks for your lengthy reply, much appreciated. Apologies for my reference to north london being a dump, it was somewhat tongue in cheek! -

I've noticed that there's hardly any tickets left, have they not made the lower tier tickets available yet or have they sold out already?

Bournemouth 2-0 Saints - Post Match Meltdown
davefoggy replied to Pamplemousse's topic in The Saints
This is exactly what i have been saying. Don't get me wrong, Fraser is a good keeper but he is so reactive, never commands his area and stays on his line. I just think its the modern coaching. Keepers are deemed wreckless if they come charging out at every corner or set piece, but I'd rather he did. More often than not it results in a "foul" on the keeper anyway
