Which stand were you in mate? Itchen was a complete disaster at half time. There were actually training some staff members how to use the till during half time during a Premier League match ffs. Surely the pre-season friendlies were the best opportunity to train up new staff? But oh no, the bars weren't even open during the friendlies (only the food kiosks that were also serving beer) Like someone else mentioned, the queues at half time yesterday weren't any longer than usual, the staff were just too incompetent to serve anyone. Some of them struggle to understand/speak English, which isn't their fault, but the real blame lies with their managers for not giving them the basic training that they need to do the job in the first place. There doesn't seem to be anyone 'in charge' on match days. Other grounds seem to cope ok at half time, I just don't know how they can get it so wrong at St Marys, it's been getting worse year on year
