  1. Any mobile friendly streams?
  2. I think it has helped both players that we now play a back 4 with 2 dm's. I don't think Jack was comfortable in a back 3 and I also felt that JWP wasn't entirely effective in a midfield 3; both their roles were muddied a bit, whereas they now have simpler, and more direct roles. I thought they were both excellent yesterday.
  3. Cheers
  4. Any streams?
  5. This one isn’t on tv is it? Any streams?
  6. I feel our problems lie mainly in the midfield, yes we have genuine defensive issues too but, for me, the central midfield is too open. Quite often, the two CMs are too far apart. Sometimes one is out wide right and the other is wide left. There's a massive hole in the middle. One time yesterday, probably more than once, the two full backs were on the touchline around the halfway line, the wide midfielders were high up the pitch, two strikers around the edge of the box. Hojbjerg comes across to the left back position, 15 yards behind Bertrand to take a pass from a cb. JWP was across the other side of the pitch! Why does Hojbjerg need to be there? Why can't Bertrand receive that pass? Massive hole in the middle. All options were wide, long or back. The CMs are asked to press in wide areas and I think it's too much; it takes them right out of position imo. Wide midfielders could be doing that. CBs are exposed, no protection and we lose goals.
  7. Surely a manager should find a system to suit the players he has (in terms of positions and strengths; ability is another mater)

  9. What’s happened with Slattery?
  10. I recall after we sacked puel didn’t we offer the job to someone but they declined because we wouldn’t let them bring in their own gk coach as we had Watson? Was it pellegrini? Point being, jobs for the boys. Most managers have their own trusted assistants. Blocking that is cutting your nose off to spite your face. And how well is Watson really doing?
  11. Are we really playing 343?
  12. Unfortunately, we have 3 midfielders in Hoj, Romeu and JWP who have no forward initiative, no defence splitting pass, no creativity and no longe range scoring ability (save for a few from JWP from the end of last season). No wonder there's no link between midfield and attack. Splitting Redmond and Boufal apart and getting them as wide as possible is all well and good but it's not much point if they're not getting crosses in. Half the time they give it back to Bertrand or JWP who knock it back inside to Romeu or Hoj. Armstrong came on and made no difference at all; I'm not sure what he was supposed to do. Redmond did his best work last season in the space between the goal posts, down the middle of the pitch. It infuriates me that JWP, while a great dead ball striker, can barely hit a moving ball with any accuracy. The right back might go on a run, knock it back to JWP, and instead of whipping one in, he comes back inside or backwards, and we do it all again on the other side.
  13. I know zilch about Danso so his inclusion depends on how fit he is and how much he will blend in this week. Liverpool aren't going to lump it long and high, they're going to ping it around. We don't need vestergaard's height (not that he wins much in the air anyway) and Stephens is crap in the air. We need defenders who are quick and mobile and can read the passes. Do we have any? I'd go with Bednarek and Yoshida (Or Danso). I'd play 4231 with Hojbjerg and JWP in cm, Long right, Redmond centre, and maybe Armstrong left. Adams up front. Wide men need to track back and go with runners.
  14. So did we to be fair; I don't remember a short goal kick.
  15. 5 at the back, or 3 plus 2 wing backs if you like, leaves us open to the diagonal ball in behind the wing back. Personally, I'd rather see our full backs defend first and attack second; let the wingers we have attack. The 3 at the back are left covering the whole width of the penalty area, and when the opponent plays 2 up front it's easy to get in between the gaps; no one seems to know who's marking who. One of the goals yesterday saw a simple ball in and yet out of our 3 cbs, only 1 was marking! I think, and I hope, that when we have the players at his disposal, Ralph will go with a flat back 4, 2 cm's, 2 wingers, and 2 up front, or 1 deep and one forward; 42211 if you like. Could also play 4141, with Romeu a cdm sitting deep in front of the 2 cbs, Hojbjerg and JWP in front, Redmond and Djenepo/Boufal/Ings wide and Adams up front??
  16. Well, that was..........disgusting.
  17. Got an iPhone. Is firestick WiFi only or can it take Ethernet?
  18. Sorry, meant for Dazza.
  19. I’d need a firestick for that, yeah?
  20. Diabolical
  21. Ralph has done an amazing job since taking over. The real work starts in the close season. We need: a decent centre back, a striker. Get rid of: Stephens, Long, Austin, Forster...at least

  23. What about paul Mitchell? He was with Ralph before. I heard that Man U were holding out hope of appointing Pochettino and then Mitchell but that is clearly not gonna happen now.
