Wycombe were 2-0 up now 2-3 down:D Is it the day for 2-3 results??????????????????
-
and 2 sent off (Carra & Degen)
-
Have Spurs won a match yet with Bale playing in it (or whatever the stat is)?
-
another great away result off the bottom, scoring goals, not letting many in and Connolly scorese and debut. Hit the bar few times, another goal for Lambo who nearly scored with a 40 yard effort good times:)
-
I'm most pleased that even when the opposition equalise we now fight back and take the lead again - A BIG DIFFERENCE. Good to see goals going in, in positive points after 2 good wins and a new signing this week - Well done Alan and his board/players - top stuff lads!!!!!!
-
I hope I don't regret saying this - what would be more pleasing ? scoring 3 in the first half not conceding in the 2nd ( know, I know) or haven't lost the lead for once restoring the lead (and not giving it away again).
-
A new manager (nearly) always improves on results so it's not good for us - at least Paul Hart is still doing a 'job'
-
How does the competition unfold from now on in? I thought it was regionalised? So we get a southern based team in the QF and again in thr SF and again in the final and the winner of the southern final plays the winner of the northern final? My understanding is correct yes?
-
Just think he has more bad games then good so maybe he is due a good one
-
The danger being that Wotton may keep his place if we win - having said that he may be our best player out there today!!!!!

Can anyone see Cortese putting up with this much longer ?

yes but they are Bristol Rovers not Liverpool or Man Utd and what about the failure to beat Carlisle, Brentford, Stockport, Swindon and 10 man Colchester??? I'm not saying sacking is the answer but it frustrates so much that we cannot hold on to a lead - I could a lot of money backing us not to win once we go ahead in a game. We have a great squad being developed and I'm pleased we still have a club, but seriously some of our results have been shocking considering our opposition. -
same old same old - what's that 6 games this season taken the lead but NOT gone on to win - even Tranmere won tonight FFS I posted on 606 that we have the worst record of all the relegated teams from prem, div 1 & div 2 and was shot down in flames for being so negative - does tonights result fill anybody with anything positive - cos I'm missing something big time if it does!

**** me. Swindon scoring was bad enough but not Carlisle, what next getting rolled over by Brighton??????????????????????
-

Would be a good addition seeing as we have let go/sold strikers in Rasiak, Mcgoldrick, BWP, Euell and John and replaced that lot with Lambert and possibly Wiago (if he doesn't occupy the wing).

Not sure I want to see him go as I do have faith in him, however when people on here are saying these things take time......well time is running out. Yes we have 40 games left but with no wins in six and games against Leeds and Charlton coming up I feel we will still be bottom at Xmas. If we cannot beat Swindon, Brentford and 10 man Colchester then what hope have we got of beating Charlton, Leeds, Norwich etc. I do not the answer - if I did I wouldn't be sat here. I appreciate he is improving the sqaud, but I'm concerned by the following facts bottom of div 1 no home wins no away wins only team in div1 without a win lowest goals scored (ok this is shared with others) Please remember the standard of teams we are playing we should be beating most of these (like Charton are one of the relegated teams). How often do you see a team get relegated and 6 games in be bottom of that div???? It could only happen to US!!!!!!!
-
You have written more or less what I was going to write/type. Good players coming in for our level, an experienced manager and a bit of money behind us - a much rosier picture than 3 months ago. Just a couple of wins away from given me a warm feeling. I realise we had players who didn't want to compete at our currentl level so to get rid of Surman, Euell, Mcgoldrick, BWP, Rasiak, John etc and bring in what we have is good business - I wish those who have departed good luck in their new ventures.
-
here here I sometime need to be reminded that good times are ahead but just not in the near future. It just is unreal that we can spiral from the prem and a cup final appearance to bottom of div 1 in such a short space of time.

Some of the comments on here are amazing. Just look at what you are typing. "our first away points" "we are improving" "things can only get better" FFS guys we are in div 1 and should be beating the likes of Swindon, Brentford and Stockport - there are harder teams coming up. I accept these comments if we had gone up into the prem and the three team I mentioned were West Ham, Chelsea or Villa - are we going to be saying the same next year " yes we did really well beating Burton at home 1-0 becuase they are a good team"?????????? We have a VERY experienced manager who has managed at the highest level - possibly the most experienced in the league. We have the best keeper in the division (imo) We have the leagues top scorer last season in Lambert WE SHOULD BE DOING BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Strange isn't it that despite a change in personnel within the team and new coaches and managers that we still cannot keep other teams at bay for 90 minutes. I realise 2 things - that the team is still gelling with new additions and that Pardew arrived not long before the season started. What is worrying though is the fact that we haven't got a win from Brentford, Stockport or Swindon, our level of opposition isn't going to get much easier than them so WE HAVE TO IMPROVE. Don't tell me Brentford are a good team and it was going to be tough - remember we are Southampton FC - how long did we have in the prem???? I can accept it if we have come up from non league but we haven't - we are an ex prem side like Charlton, Leeds etc - do you think they say that they got a worthy point against Swindon??? No chance - they should be winning against most of the dross in this division.........and they are!! Feel better now, but I'm so pi**ed off with thinking that the next game will be the won that we win, only to get pegged back once again.
-
and thats game 4 games this season and 3 in a week. This has to stop -I'm not blaming Pardew as this has been a common theme over the last few seasons, but we have to hold on - especially as it seems we cannot score more than 1 a game at the mo. Don't geive me any rubbish about adapting to the divsion because Charlton are top and even Norwcih are getting wins under their belt. so so frustrating I just knew we would not hold out. WHY CAN WE NOT DO IT???????????????
-
maybe it was Adebayor - aren't we as rich as citeh????
