I can't believe we have played 8 games in all comps this season and have failed to score in 6. We all knew back up in attack was required in the summer and in the last transfer window and I'm blaming whoever is responsible for not ensuring this happened whether that is AP or NC.

Yes he is there player coach - lasts about an hour then gets subbed off. Watched MK dons v Hartlepool the other saturday, Mk dons struggled to break them down and were lucky to get away with not conceding a pen.

This league this season has seen Norwich, Millwall & Leeds gone and have been replaced with Plymouth, P'boro and Sheff Wed - poor replacements, you only have to look at the table to see that teams like Charlton, Huddersfield & Swindon aren't the teams they were last year and yet we seemed to have messed it up already. Our squad didn't need alot of changing just maybe a back up for Rickie (which for some reason wasn't sorted out). To be in the bottom 3, out of 2 cups, losing Lallana & Barnard and without a manager in early september is stuff nightmares are made of but I hope that the new guy comes in and sorts us out ASAP. At this stage auto promo is out of reach but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Were we a laughing stock before, possibly. Are we one now, must deffo. First get rid of a manager (AP) with prem experience and then replace with one who doesn't have that (NA) , but yes he has got a team out of this div and whilst I wasn't jumping for joy by his appointment I can see why he was chosen and would have preffered him to Adams, Hart or Howe. Now it seems we now not even get him. MON must be out of the question otherwise surely he would have been preferred to NA which leaves me to believe we will 'settle' for someone not as good as NA.

I can't believe a team so poor as Rochdale are beating us. We are awful at home this season. We have had loads of posession BUT they always look like scoring going forward - we do not!

If it's Adkins, Hart, Howe or Tisdale then clearly that is a step backwards imo. Zola, MON, Curbs, Hoddle is a step forward. Coleman, Ince, Dowie are on a level with Pards imo. The decision will tell us alot about Cortese's ambition.

Oh my god. Surely not Paul Hart or Tony Adams, both are double agents like Redknapp and would sink us down even further. Does Cortese not know anything about our history. Neither of these are stayers and neither have achived anything. We were lucky to have Pardew and either of these two IS a backwards step..FACT!

This guy has summed it up for me. All the points are what I said a few days ago. As the OP says, we shouldn't be below some of these teams, like Rochdale. It's a joke that some of the teams in the prem get lower crowds than we do, how Blackppol, Wigan, Burnley etc reached there and we are now 2 divs away from that lofty position. I accepted it last year because of the points deduction, new manager and adjusting to life in the div but what are we gonna say come May if we haven't gone up??????????????????

This season is because of a couple of things 1 - Pressure is on players/manager because we are favs for promotion 2 - We haven't added to a squad that wasn't (but should have been) good enough last season. 3 - No replacement for Lambert and already this reason and reason 2 have cost us 5pts. You look at Norwich, they needed to improve their squad and did so and aren't near the bottom. You can say the same about Notts County & Blackpool. We did we not realise additions were needed. Yes we added a couple of defenders but it's a CM and forward that is needed. We must have money so why not buy Antonio? I can only imagine Pard's has ben told "You've had money already, work with what you have". Carlisle are top FFS and they are pony.

Not impressed - not calling for Pard's head however we had our strongest team out there today and could not beat Orient. We knew in the summer we needed backup for Rickie - we didn't buy anybody. We knew we had to practice and deal with teams who park the bus - it seems we haven't learn't this well. We know we are crap at holding on to leads in matches - still we continue to allow teams back in. Have we gone forward at all???????

Like invictasaint I too live in Kent, and felt for the fans in the uncovered end as I sat in the medway stand (although I did get wet in 2nd half). A better display from saints in the 2nd half and hopefully Pardew has worked out that Connolly & Barnard can't play together, James isn't a CM (and we need one) and we rely on Rickie's goals too much.

Wycombe miss a pen v swindon and then charlton equalise (all irrelevant now of course). Agree with the comments regarding this season 7th (probably) and a winning trip to Wembley, plus a good FA cup and Pimpey getting relegtaed - I'd have settled for that in July 09.

We now have 2 home game where as Charlton, Swindon & Hudders all have AWAY games next week - unlikely I know, but if one of them slips up and we win both ours then the pressure could tell for them Well done Saints

Blimey Colchester are really making a pigs ear of this. Drew with Brentford and Wycombe, lost to Exeter, losing today and next play Swindon then Charlton.
