  1. Had a feeling Watford might get a result v Burnley - their cup games catching up with them. On the plus side Barnsley are losing and I fully expect Derby & Donny to lose @ Brum & Sheff Utd (fingers crossed)
  2. Watford 1-0 up - bummer!
  3. Sold Diarra and bought Mullins - glad to see they are suffering as well=D>
  4. I too am amazed regarding Jan's comments towards the crwod. Where he questions their reaction to us losing to Donny. This to me (once again) shows he was out of this depth, by not knowing about the history of our club. Did he realise apart fom Everton we had one of the longest staying records for being in the top flight? Was he not aware of the amount of England captains we have had at our club? Was he not aware of our trip to the FA cup final and (admittedly brief) venture into Europe? Did he not realise the conveyor belt of talent we have produced in the last few years? This to me is why we should not have appointed him and should stick to a non-foreign manager.
  5. in my opinion they will stick with woote to avoid paying money. I can't help feeling Pootaloo was objecting to players being sold so his hand was forced. just my opinion. I fear players now to go and league 1 coming
  6. glad he has gone, but not sure about the sideways step. seems lowe will have control, wonder who will leave now and league 1 is still on
  7. to be honest I don't think we will win again this season at home. I thought we'd beat Forest when they were below us, and we didn't I thought we'd beat Donny when they were below us, and we didn't What's to say we'd beat Charlton?? I certaily dont think we'd beat anybody of note.
  8. don't forget that they also will now fight - and there was me worrying#-o
  9. maybe the management feel we have a bunch that can get us out of this mess - I've got news for them, it's the same bunch that got us in this mess!!! It does worry me that teams around us are appointing new managers/pulling away/getting players in on loans and what are we doing................sweet FA!!! It's almost like they have accepted relegation already.
  10. Funny isn't it but I won't us to lose (as I did back in November) so we can change the manager. We still have him and we are in a worse position now. What will it take to get rid of him? I even get the impression that we could be bottom and he'll still be there and yet you have managers like Pardew & Jewell who were sacked and they were above us in the league.
  11. or forest green, peterbrough etc.etc.
  12. Doncaster played 26 GD-13 pts 24 saints 26 GD-18 pts 23 Charlton 26 GD-14 pts22 as it stands at half time
  13. there you go donny are winning now Charlton, Forest & Doncaster all picked up good points over xmas whilst we are heading one way only!!
  14. charlton, winning now nearly bottom, well done Jan!!!!
  15. I don't believe it would good for us if CC got sacked anyway. Surely we want him to stay there ant continue to get bad results. Watford under Aidy B were sinking, new manager comes in and now they have gone above us. If Forest did this we'd be in the bottom 3 - although if it happened to us then we'd probably still go down knowing our luck.
  16. I thought today would be more of a hammering than Reading and I was proved right.
  17. Sorry I got that wrong no Ian Woan. Gemmil and Black scored for Forest and it went to extra time. It was the last ZENITH cup competition and also the last trophy Clough won for Forest.
  18. I was actually at that game, but cannot remember the scorers. I do remember us being 2-0 before coming back to level at 2-2 before conceding a 3rd. Forests team consisted of the likes of Pearce, Clough, Woan etc.
  19. I'd hoped that last season was a one off but when I saw the manager we have in charge and players being sold I realised that it would be the same, what I'd like to know is what lies ahead?? Say we survive this season are we just going to accept that we are now the same as Barnsley, Norwich etc always floating with relegation or can we do a Burnley/Plymouth and turn it around?? I'm also surprised that teams like Coventry and Norwich have players like Lita, Eastwood & Morrison and we have a sheff Utd reserve striker up front. Are they that much better off financially that they can offer a better deal than us?
  20. same old same old cannot kill games off and get punished. not all bad as Charlton, Watford and Barnsley all losing.
  21. watford 3-1 down
  22. Barnsley 1-0 down
  23. My feeling is the same as others a good point and when I saw away Reading, home Plymouth, away Charlton - I didn't think we would be UNDEFEATED. Good 5pts and today moved up the table. You would have expected Watford to win so that's a good result for us as was Norwich losing.
  24. I do have to wonder why this has happened? In the past few seasons we have sold Beattie, Crouch, Baird, Jones, Best, Niemi, Bale, Walcott bringin in over £30 million. Not too mention the players we have loaned out to reduce the wage bill. Ok we moved to a new stadium, and attendances have dropped, but surely parachute payments and a decrease in wages balance that out a bit. I for one would like answers as to why we are in this debt, because it is not obvious to me.
