  1. Too right, Vectis. Other team's strikers create something themselves out of nothing. Our players seem to think that they are on "Strictly" and will get marks for artistic impression. They won't take responsibility. Sheff. Utd create virtually nothing, especially with Speed injured, but Beattie still manages to score. You can tell he has learnt his penalty taking from Le Tiss - his penalties are brilliant. MLT looked very embarassed last night - please, Matt, can you give them some shooting training?
  2. I had to go through the whole rigmarole twice because it wouldn't link my season tickets - lucky I wasn't buying any extras. It did say on the website that it would not be able to link them, but that they would e-mail the relevant people with an access code to enable this. However, I did not receive an e-mail. I don't get all this trouble with Ocado!
  3. Lots of people assuming that season ticket holders will buy extra tickets. I'm not buying any extra tickets. I couldn't even get anyone to use my season ticket for free whilst I was on holiday. Getting extra tickets for other people is not a bonus, it's always a hassle. Friends usually ask you after you've already got yours and you can waste a lot of time queueing or on the phone. I think that there will be plenty to go around for those prepared to make a bit of an effort.
  4. Your right, CB. The whole point is that Redknapp was always the wrong manager for us. His whole style of management, signing experienced, expensive players and let the board worry about the consequences, was never suited to us. I'm sure Bournemouth's financial strife is still partly due to Harry. His wage bill at Pompey and West Ham was ginormous. What I can't understand was why Lowe didn't part company with him as soon as we were relegated and immediately appoint someone with a track record of building rather than buying a team. They would have always clashed.
  5. Watching Saints has gone from something to enjoy to something to endure, which makes it perfectly understandable that many thousands stay away. However large Lowe's part in our demise, this does not give the bank a concrete reason to kick him out. And what's the other option? Only an administrator, as no one else is willing to take us and our debts on.
  6. Another factor is that the average age of a supporter has been steadily increasing ever since the Premier League started, mainly due to the cost of tickets. My dad has given up his season ticket because he will no longer drive that far, and my brother can't be bothered to drive from Somerset because of the distinctly average football he's endured the last few years. The point is, who is replacing them? When we were kids we used to often watch Bournemouth and Saints because it only cost 50p to get in. Our expectations weren't so high because we could get in with just our pocket money. I just don't know of many children being taken like we were - it's just too expensive.
  7. You have brought back some lingering bad memories, Equalizer. This was when Jim Smith was manager of Derby and they were the worst, diving cheats on the planet. I've disliked them intensely ever since.
