Blandford saint's Achievements

  1. I've seen him play against Salisbury City - didn't stand out, even at that level!
  2. We went as guests in these seats last season, then realised that our season ticket seats were much better in the middle of the Kingsland opposite the directors' box, so swapped over at half time! Better atmosphere as well, with your mates. Most of them were quite a long way at the back of the stand.
  3. I thought only foreigners called it the EPL. Only heard it called Premier League in England. Wednesday is usually the weekday night for fixtures, probably due to so many games being played on a Sunday, so I think it's highly likely we will revert to Wednesdays.
  4. I noticed when all those players that Swansea and Norwich signed were listed on the thread the other day that lots of them had hardly made a first team appearance. Also noticed that when Norwich changed their team around the other week after a defeat that they went back to the core of a very familiar team that we played in League One. We've made that mistake before of signing a huge volume of squad players, so I hope we sign quality players that are automatic first choices and better than we already have. Otherwise if we want squad players, we are better off keeping the likes of Hammond and Harding.
  5. I would definitely play Morgan if he's fully fit. I think our form has suffered slightly because he's been out of the side. Even up at Blackpool when we were rubbish, he was the only one putting himself about in midfield whilst Cork went missing.
  6. HAS to be Rickie. He's had a fantastic season.
  7. Have you thought that he might be wearing it because it's lucky? We probably won the first time he wore it and now can't bear to leave it off. After I wore my very smart leopard skin design hat to the first match we won at home after our mid-season dodgy spell, I have been compelled to wear it by, with some pressure from the regulars in my part of the Kingsland! Wore it away at Palace too and it did the job. Also have lucky jeans, which, so far, are doing the trick!
  8. Has to be Kelv. Especially after the disaster that was Bart v Blackpool!
  9. They weren't the only Japanese going to the match, either. Followed another group of young lads and girls (without replica shirts) going into St. Mary's with their Yo! Sushi take-away. The more the merrier - it's great to see people enjoying watching the Saints. I see Norwich had a special day for overseas supporters yesterday - Burundi Canaries, etc. parading around the pitch. It's good to see such world wide support.
  10. I think all our experiences from last year's run in will now come to the fore. Nigel's done this promotion thing now a few times and know what works, and the guys were great under pressure last season - most of them remain for this season. Just hope we get no important injuries as that could make all the difference. West Ham supporters have been getting very tetchy lately and I think it's affecting their home form.
  11. No, its true. It's because we've been working near Birmingham at the NEC from Sunday until today, so we had to stay up there any rate. Incidentally, there are some good places to go out in Brum, you just have to ask the right people!
  12. Looks like we made a good decision! We had tickets for the game, and were approaching Brum in the blizzard - cars slipping everywhere. We thought we might park and then not be able to get out of our parking space, so we phoned the hotel where we were staying and asked them if they had Sky Sports. We managed to persuade them to change the channel from the rugby in the bar, so enjoyed Saints' point accompanied by some potent cocktails - thanks to the Hyatt Regency! I've never chickened out of going to a match before - I remember Reading away in the Cup when it was -12c under Souness, but when I saw our tickets were right at the front, it made my mind up.
  13. In the Kingsland we've been allowed to keep the lids on our bottles for years.Full picnics with flasks, no problem. Still can't understand why they have to look in women's handbags but don't search mens pockets and coats. How many women have been arrested for hooliganism? The way they search so quickly, they would never find anything if you were bent on concealing it, so it's a total waste of time.
  14. Brilliant! Great to watch whilst eating my lunch.
  15. Perhaps Harry is just looking to get him some first team experience in a side that play passing, attacking football. Also, not too far from home if he wants to come & have a look at him.
