  2. If we go down we should nick Eddie Howe from down the road. Young up coming manager who has done a great job so far down there with no money and knowledge of all leagues in England.
  3. Get Holmes to play on the left and put Drew on the right where he has played well before.
  4. Just started as Saints in the most recently updated game and its pretty hard. No money to spend and nobody wants to buy Skacel, trying to get good loans but not much to be had.
  5. Did anyone go?
  6. Go to the South Today website, you can watch the whole programme, fast forward to around 15mins or maybe slightly more and it shows Euell's second and Patto's.
  7. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10879 I think Saville is a Chelsea player.
  8. Chelsea youth/reserves centre back appears to be playing for our reserves tonight (as per OS). Wonder if with a view to loan or permanent move? It appears he is captain of their U18's at the moment. Would be a strange loan as centre backs we are quite covered so maybe he is on trial with view to summer move?
  9. Scunny fans views on Mills: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=460&fid=12&sty=2&act=1&mid=2126709436
  10. DMG is the new scapegoat. He isnt that bad and has some good skill in him but his ideal role is playing in the hole off a bigger striker IMO. You only need to see a couple of his goals to see the gy has talent. He is also under a lot of pressure, no other CCC teams main striker is a 21 year old!! Give him a break. As for Saga: No pace No strength Can't finish Not overly creative Doesn't fit or try to adapt to our style Doesn't work overly hard On hugely inflated wages Never settled anywhere in his career, has eventually fallen out of favour everywhere he has been. Best spell for Saints was for 5-6 matches about 2 years ago. Surely this speaks for itself....
  11. Arizona = Saganowski's agent!
  12. Peopl saying Saga and Rasiak are so deluded its funny. They arent really our players anymore. Also for a so called international Saga was as poor last season as anyone has been this season so far!
  13. FFS we all know why we had to offload them. They are paid more than we can afford.
  14. http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/Football/League2/VideoIndex/0,,12555,00.html?mvnAssetId=3224194 Good goal, showed here.
  15. 2-2 FT Anyone go?
  16. Apparantly a very good curling finish!!
  17. No mate. The stay aways are accelerating the end of the club you support.
  18. They mentioned him on Solent on Saturday. Hopefully he can stay if Jan thinks he is doing a good job.
  19. Jan has basically achieved the same as Pearson with about half the wage bill and pretty much none of the "established" players that NP had to pick from!
  20. Pearson is in the past now. He did ok last season but did actually have a pretty poor record in terms of winning matches.
  21. Agree totally. He has certainly got the best out of the players we have.
  22. And as JP said if we can keep most of the decent youngsters (obviously minus Schneiderlin and Lallana) then we should improve next season too.
  23. At least not to Steve Coppell http://www.readingfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10306~1461766,00.html Found this on the Reading website, previewing the game. Quite interesting that they knew each other and JP had done some coaching sessions for Reading's academy. Particularly interesting his comments saying "When he was appointed at Southampton everybody in football knew what he was about." Personally I think JP has/is doing a great job with whats available and has certainly stamped his mark on the team. Nice to hear praise from other good football people and have to say I want JP to do well as he does seem a very nice, approachable guy and he tries to play football how it should be played.
  24. I didn't mean to say Pulis is or will be as good a player as Mazza was but simply that everyone thought Mazza was a crap signing and he proved us wrong. Maybe Pulis can do the same.
  25. He came on as sub tonight, played 25mins or so after only meeting his team mates this afternoon. BTW what you wrote has no substance to it. The coaching is great for the youngsters, its just the inexperience which isnt helping us right now!
