  1. Took stick earlier in the season but has grown into one of our most consistent players IMO. Superb today, endless supply of great crosses, solid defending and thoughtful passes, no hoofball. Brilliant, and must keep whatever division we are in!
  2. Anyone part of one and can post the league name and password? Or anyone interested if one is setup?
  3. Thats certainly true. But its clear Smith is a big talent, and if we could get the best out of him could be a good player. The ability is there.
  4. At least Smith actually tries to take people on.
  5. Well it can't get any worse...Oh ****. It did.
  6. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Business/Randall-Southampton-FC-Former-Chairman-Blames-Management-And-Bank-For-Clubs-Financial-Woes/Article/200904115257792?lid=ARTICLE_15257792_RandallSouthamptonFCFormerChairmanBlamesManagementAndBankForClubsFinancialWoes&lpos=searchresults The interviewer describes him at the end as "Rupert Lowe- football romantic"
  7. Not his fault we missed all our chances!
  8. Whos up front? BWP and Euell?
  9. Yes, which was a shame. But he did some good runs and should have had a pen.
  10. Any early word from radio how we are lining up in terms of formation/positions?
  11. Smith looked good when he came on against Charlton. Quick and with a trick, at least he tries to take people on. We just need to get him the ball in good areas.
  12. ---------------------------------Davis-------------------------------- James---------------------Perry-------------Size--------------Skacel Smith----------------McGoldrick-------------------Wotton-------------Surman --------------------------BWP--------------------Euell-------------------- subs: Forecast, Liptak, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Saga
  13. BWP, Smith and James all start. Saga and Lallana drop to bench, Thomson not in squad.
  14. MLG, the AFCB sectiopn said paragraph when I went on it. Great site BTW!
  15. McGoldrick was probably our best player behind Davis yesterday!
  16. A lot of the Managers mentioned wouldn't be prepared to work in League One.
  17. Eddie Howe. Worked wonders at Bournemouth. Knowledge of league 1, has served an apprenticeship of sorts, good with the media. Definately better than getting a hasbeen like Cotteril from the managerial gravy train.
  18. The system MW is playing now doesn't really suit him. Whilst JP's system didn't really work, it did suit Lallana perfectly. He isn't a winger, he is a support striker/no 10.
  19. The guy must have wondered what the hell he had done to be booed everytime he did anything. Surely looking like a Pompey player doesn't qualify you to get booed...... He played quite well too, surely nobody really thought that was Primus? He certainly hasn't got as much pace as Youga did....
  20. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article2359545.ece?OTC-RSS&ATTR=Football CRAIG DAVID has emerged as a shock contender to save Southampton from going out of business. The 27-year-old pop star is a huge Saints fan and has followed their rise and fall since he was a boy. He has expressed his shock at seeing the club he supports formally put up for sale after its parent company called in administrators to rescue the Championship strugglers. Half a dozen parties have shown an interest in trying to prevent the South Coast side from folding. And now R&B singer-songwriter David has vowed to lend his support to the cause, calling on serious backers to ‘fill me in’. The ‘Born To Do It’ star said: “I’ve been a big Saints supporter since I was five and like most kids dreamed of one day running out of the tunnel at the old Dell in red and white stripes! "The club is too important to me and the people of Southampton in general to be in this kind of mess, so it’s vital that we all do what we can to help. "I’m currently on tour in Japan otherwise I’d definitely be showing my support on the terraces at St Mary's tomorrow for the Charlton game. "But I am happy to help out in any way I can and if anybody is thinking of starting a campaign or a consortium to save the club, count me in and get in touch!” --------------------------------------------------------- Haha!
  21. It was a joke mate! I guess it will be Fry, says on the OS he is featured in the programme.
  22. Wait and see when you buy one at the ground....
  23. He should be more involved team wise than he is. Not as manager maybe, but in some capacity.
