Antonio will be out of contract at end of season so can come then. Also, an option would have to be agreed by both sides. If Reading didn't want one then tough ****! And thats probably what happened.

Who knows if there was an option, come over to the fans forum and ask AP. What I meant was that Antonio was nowhere near the Reading team yet Pards recognised his potential, good management I think. Now, Reading have seen how good he could be and rightly have kept him, frustrating as that may be. We will deal with it and hopefully AP will sign someone just as good if not better- which he has a good track record of. Antonio was our 3rd choice wideman last season and Pardew has said today we will sign a pacy winger.

Alpine - Pardew said after the last game that they had spoken to Reading about doing a deal and then Reading took up their option as was their perrogative to do so. And it was near the end of the season he really began to do well so in Jan there was less of a case to sign him permanently. If anything it shows AP is a good judge and coach as he took a playe nobody really wanted and turned him into a decent player, who Reading now want.

FFS you havent even seen a ****ing game. We did really well v Bolton and were very unlucky v Orient. Slightly rusty maybe but no way 'bad'. We battered a Prem team fod most of the game the other night, hence the standing ovation at the end. I was actually there and we certainly were not 'bad'.

Small but looks ridiculously skillful. Still think Vassell would be perfect with his pace and power and can play up front, or wide either side.

For a guy with about 20 first team starts but with potential I think 300-400k with add ons would be fair, but no way over 500k.

I guess Reading are asking for a crazy price for MA and we won't be taken to the cleaners and rightly so.

All transfers are a ****ing risk Alpine, you just have to trust the manager, scouts etc! Now relax!

Well there is no point bringing in lesser players than we have just for the sake of a transfer.

Any signing is a risk. Lambert was a huge risk at 1m. Pahars was a risk, Schneiderlin was a risk, Arias was a risk. But based on AP's dealings theres a good chance it will come off. And its a low risk, the clever ploy of loaning first proves that. Its hard for us to add quality because the existin players are so good. We would not be able to sign Lallana if he played for another team because he would go Prem or Champ so sometimes we have to take a risk on unearthing a gem.

Our scouts have been watching Matt Phillips already this season according to reports in their local press. So have Wigan, Blackpool, Preston & Bristol City.

Harte's agent has probably said we are interested to hurry Carlisle up with their contract offer...

Puncheon was good tonight, very quick feet and rarely lost the ball. A couple of awesome defence splitting passes too. An easy target to abuse because he tries high risk play. Looked more at home in the centre where he played a lot for MK Dons. Probably wouldn't be his choice to be put out on the right.

An Italian football expert I asked on twitter said Guly isn't a central midfielder who would play in a 2 but rather a no 10 type.
