Bournemouth interviewed Phil Brown a couple of years ago but went for Kevin Bond instead.

Howe is a good, good manager who has achieved success. He speaks well, never points the finger at referees and will shoulder blame, and he learns. His teams play proper football and the players like him. Would much prefer to Phil Brown, Hart, Curbishley etc who are on the way down. Eddie Howe will be a Prem manager so he might as well do it with us!

Nutshell. Really happy after Saturday. Only the Lallana injury to dampen things. Now everything has been messed up. I was a Cortese fan before, but with decisions like this he needs to come out and justify it. Absolute madness, especially if we actually haven't got anyone lined up!

Phil Brown is half the manager Pardew is. Would be a ludicrous swap.

If we fired Pardew and hired Paul Buckle then that really would be madness! We need to replace him with someone better than Pardew or else what was the point. Four games into a season doesn't constitute doing a good job.

What would you say: 1.) Don't meddle with the team too much, we aren't far away. Martin currently has the shirt alongside Fonte. 2.) Realise we need Lambert and Lallana (when fit) firing to be at our best. 3.) Recognise the potential and ambition of the club....and the associated pressure.

The so called abuse is because of the teasing. No need to name sources, but name the manager. If you can't or don't want to then don't make the post, it just riles people.
