Agree totally there mate, i remember that whole season after every Burley interview with him talking about getting into the play offs what the f*** was he talking about ,surely after being backed by the board he to the tune of £7m the we should be going for top 2, drove me nuts all that. What happened to him? Was delighted when we got him, after his record at Ipswich and Hearts, was ****e for us and the sweaties.

he was my first saints idol a great player in the Gary Lineker mould of striker, i remember his nickname was the pocket battle ship. Top top player in his era, always remember an interview with him in Shoot magazine where he lists his favourite drink as larger and food as steak, not many would do that these days!

Three tough games in their run in, Millwall and Colchester at home, which is massive for them and Exter away last day, they are not good away and if i were them i wouldn't fancy having to go there and need a result. Only one i'd be confident of getting a win is Stockport away. they are not in great form and its quite posible they could only get another 3-4 points this season.

Agree that they were scared of them, and Lallana and Antonio played well, but i dont think Puncheon did, two incidents that stick out in my mind, first half we had a break of 4 on 1 he had time and space to pick a pass which would surely have lead to a goal scoring opportunity and put it 10 yards behind Lallana and went out for a Charlton thrown in, second half fairly late on, he ran with the ball about 30 yards, loads of chances to play in Barnard i think it was on the saints right, delayed and delayed and ending up and ended up passing the ball to the Charlton defend. I think he was a threat and as i've already said i really rate him but his end product was poor on saturday.

To be honest i'd rather AP got them playing like Barcelona or Spain, their style of play seems to work.

i worried evertime the ball went near Seabourne, didnt look comfortable and hardly won a header all day. Wwe were lucky Fonte and Harding were outstanding either side of him as he looked dodgy, might be due to being rusty due to lack of games?
-
were they at the game?? Ostsemebor 7 "probably his best display for saints" Puncheon 8 - WTF?!!! I think he is a class player but he was poor, okay he set up the goal but how many times he did he hog it or make the wrong pass or give it away in a good position Seabourne - 7 "A decent showing" err, no it wasn't constantly beaten in the air by both players he was up against. i'd give them all 5's.
-
Its one of his better attempts i must say, but they always border on the ever so cheesy, happy clappy side.

What a joke of a club, cant sell their allocation for a semi final at Wembley. Wonder if the commentators on sunday when commenting on their fantastic, passionate support will mention they couldn't sell all their tickets...

Lets have your predictions for how many points we will finish on
Turkish replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
alright, alright, dont ejaculate, was a typo, didn't mean put Charlton in, did it by mistake as i was thinking of something else. We will miss out to Huddersfield by 3 points, Huddersfield have a tough run in and i think we will run out of games to catch them. -
women should never comment on football, full stop.

maybe if Leaon Best had payed a bit more attention then he wouldn't have scored the greatest own goal the world has ever seen in that second leg against Derby.
-
i didn't mean a bigger club than us, they are not, i meant a bigger club than Orient, so will bring more fans, more attractive game etc...

but imagine if this sports performance idea had been in place when he was here. He always claimed to be at the cutting edge of Sports science, cleary not on this occasion. He could have improvd players like Jermaine Wright & Bradley Wright-Phillips game by 10-15% which could have been the difference between promotion and staying in the CCC in 2007, this is what he was employed to do and he failed.
-
I'm just amazed clive Woodward never picked up on this in his role as director of whatever it was in his time here, shameful really as he should have been analysing the tape/sock debacle as it clearly has an effect on performance. What were we paying him for?
-
agreed, along with "sit down shut up" "we're the itchen over here" etc "your grounds to big for you" Unbelievably stupid when sung by clubs like Swindon with an average crowd of half ours and dont fill their own ground.
-
thanks for this, the9, riveting stuff. could we prehaps do a bit of analysis comparing his marks for his performance in the media and his goal scoring ratio compared to how much tape he is wearing, maybe the amount of tape on his socks effects his game? He certainly does seem inconsistant and sometimes his crossing is poor, could this be due to the amount of tape on his socks being a distraction?

well said that man, lady saint is trying to blind us with economics and science. Come on lady saint, you have to do better....
-
without doubt, Charlton are a bigger club, its a bigger game, premier league game 5 years ago. Lots of people there to see them, Shelvey is a decent player, looking forward to seeing him.
-
you should take the cash and out it towards replacing all that Ben Sherman ****e you wear.
-
who started calling who sweetie? The feeling is mutal xxxx
-
What number does he wear? I only know the players by shirt numbers.
-
Yes they were tictac, i'm glad you admit your posts where ghey.

But the standard and form in the PL and CC is up to it, certiainly 15 or so strikers in the PL and CC which were listed earlier on thread, so to answer your question should Capello and co be casting a look over here. Jesus Christ sweetie, i think i have just proved my point.
