Seems a bit pointless to me - especially several years after he retired from playing.
-
Sad news indeed - my condolences to his family.

Has Alpine slipped over the border and made a late bid?

Great article - thanks for posting

Fight the good fight Ed - you have many supporters on here. Best of luck to you

No Defence No Invention No Attack No Hope Goodnight PS - Great performance by the fans who attended. Don Goodman also raised this during commentary.

There is already a thread on the Cup game - do you really need to start another with your devisive bile?
-
If our away form is so good surely the logical thing is for less fans to attend. Only 350 brave soles went to Preston and cheered the boys on to a win. The burden of expectation is obviously too much for the team in front of a mega crowd of 15000. The logic is less fans - more wins:rolleyes:

Great result - well done to the team for a great fight back

How long until the first Lowe Out chant starts tomorrow?
Isla Wight replied to Huffton's topic in The Saints
Like many others my protest will be in the form of an empty seat. -
Already have a HR thread running

Defoe going back??? don't know about that but how about Sol Campbell !!

So many threads to chose to have a moan on. Thought I'd have this one as in my view the club will never prosper until that year on year assest stripper Rupert Lowe removes himself from control of this once great club. It was under his stewadship that the demise began - the seeds being sewn by his continual appointment of the cheap option coaches into managers and his refusal to invest in the team and back manager WGS after the 2003 cup final. Wher has all the money gone from the premiership years? - it certainly wasn't invested in the team and surely Saints were not amongst the top payers to players. All the players that have been sold for big money...... Gates will in my opinion continue to plummet as this team of young innocents are continually and prematurely asked to do a job they are ill equipped to do. Fans will make their choice on whether to continue to pay inflated prices to see a team of youth players toil as week in they get their asses kicked. Enough is enough. Enjoy your prawn sandwiches while you can Mr Lowe as surely the end is nigh for you and your associated band of shisters.

The more that I look at the names of our squad the more depressed I get. At the start of the season I felt the usual optimism. However - just a few games in and all the usual feelings of dread returned. It's gonna be a long hard season ahead.

Are they giving away a free match ticket with every calendar bought?
-
Well happy birthday to Matt & to you too!

The day that asset stripper Lowe leaves SFC for good will be one of the best days in recent club history. Just my opinion of course.

I think that many fans have been worn down over recent times............the never ending stories of takeovers that have never materialised; the sacking or other departure of key members of management and staff; the sale of players who could have done well for the club; the return of Lowe etc; the closure of some parts of the ground; the appointment of a management team no one has ever heard of (but JP seems a really nice guy); a team of youngsters who are not yet ready for the task; a few bad defeats; the cost of going to games in all this economic gloom. Doesn't a bad defeat like yesterday just ruin your weekend. It's pouring with rain and we've got a winter of long hard slog ahead of us. I hadn't realised just how depressed I was. Think I'll go back to bed.

If you want to see Saints win on telly I'm sure the club shop will flog you the 1976 Cup final or one of our other rare wins over Man Utd. - They seem to repackage those every couple of years.
-
Just too many lightweight youngsters in the team. Poor defending, very little invention going forward. Some pretty passing in midfield until someone hits a wayward pass - then we are at panick stations again. We were lucky only to have conceded 4.

Very sad news - I would like to add my condolances to Bob's family.

Freddie Kemp

If he did it wasn't for long because he only played 26 games for us. Perhaps not so much an unsung hero - just a player I liked having in the team.
