Time will tell, you may be right. However the Billionaire Sasha Gaydamak thinks Pompey have potential and has maybe foolishly ploughed Millions into a club with no infrastructure what-so-ever and no way of ever making his investment back. Now wether Mr. Gaydamak is right or wrong, I am enjoying life as a Pompey fan at the moment, we're FA cup Champions and just had 3 players called up tonight into the England squad. If I'm right it's only going to continue, and if your right, then I'm making hay whilst the sun is shining!

Oh yes we will.

To be honest, Saints are not in a position to Rival us, therefore your not REAL Footballing rivals, more rivals in a pantomime kinda way. I don't think that the tide is turning for Pompey, I think that Harry, Storrie etc are 'encouraging' an expectation re-adjustment, by carefully manipulating the media to spin story's that 'cool' fans expectations, which is a VERY good thing. Many (And I mean thousands) of Pompey fans are complete and utter morons (you probably haven't noticed;)), who seriously expect Pompey to be competing for Champions League places and EXPECT pompey to win the UEFA Cup (I kid you not). The club is just cooling these expectations. Sales of Muntari and Rumours of Kranjcar's sale have prompted childish re-actions for many Pompey fans and led to claims of No ambition, Sasha should go, Storrie is a liar (I mean what do they expect him to say?) etc. To be honest its truelly embarressing. Pompey Lost 22 Million last year, we're building a new Training Ground and have plans for a VERY expensive stadium at a time when financing any projects are harder than ever, I'm pleased we're trying to balance the books a little bit more. So Saints fans, go wind up the more idiotic Pompey fans about how Pompey have run out of money and how its all downhill from here, you will get a reaction from the more retarded and deserve the p*** ripped out of them. As far as i'm concerned I am 100% pleased with the way the club has developed under Gaydamak and will be very happy with staying in the Premier League and slowly building on what has been achieved already. I am not concerened in the slightest.

Whilst losing Keane and probably Berbatov. Yet reading the Tabloids, vertually every single pundit has them Nailed on for fifth, a position far more likely to be occupied by Villa, IMO.
-
I dunno, maybe I was looking for some common ground? I seem to remember Spurs always seemed to p*** off saints fans too? Spurs fans hightened expectations I can live with, it's the medias pandering to them I just cant stomach.
-
After all the Hype, losing 2-0 to Boro! Why exactly are spurs so easy to dislike?
-
I think 3M is a fair price for Mendes, who I and many feel was never the same player after Ben Thatcher assaulted him.
-
I'd agree with pretty much all that! Gaydamak has revolutionised the club, the infrastructure is coming along nicely (and lets be honest, we were in a right mess!) and whilst operating at a loss, (22 Million last year I believe?) we will eventualy become profitable.

I dont think so? Anyway I was asking about a Player who has never graced the premiership so maybe the 3 seasons you have spent in the Championship DOES give you a greater knowledge of players that ply their trade in the same division as Saints? Not rocket science is it? No need to be so defensive Denzil.

I dont think the rest of the World is interested in the Premier League, just the big 4. Sad but true. The sooner the big four Feck off the sooner we can get down to the business of Winning Championships.
-
I dunno, it's been a long tme now since we graced the lower leagues. You kinda lose touch. I was just doing a bit of research for the 'Advertisers' £25.00 Championship Dream Team.
-
Bowing to your far superior knowledge of Lower league football, can any one elaborate on what he's like?

Portsmouth Pirates EPL team enter the arena to the 'Pirates of the Carribean' theme tune and have for the past two seasons. I sugest saints choose something more apt. Maybe 'My heart will go on' by old longface, As it is the theme from 'Titanic'.

Whatcha on about Thorpey, 2012? Were on target for 2010-2011!
-
Apparently he's very poorly indeed. He may even miss the first game of the Season at Stamford Bridge. They suspect it may of been contracted whilst on Pompeys recent tour of Nigeria?

I'm a shop steward and the company that employs me gives a maximum of 3 days compassionate leave, which applies only to immediate family members (For other people outside the immediate family it is at the managements discretion.) whilst this is MY employers policy my understanding is that it's pretty standard practice.

Ahh, that explains it. There were plenty of empty seats in the Man Utd end, but not whole blocks of seating like Pompey's. But hand on heart, I can honestly say that bearing in mind the number of 'regulars' that did not attend this game, I was REALLY pleased with the pompey turn out. It bodes well for the future.
-
Ok Nick, If thats what you want to believe you saw. I was there and I never saw ONE man utd fan amongst the Pompey contingent. Not to say there may not of been a few, but I GENUINELY never saw any evidence of what you suggest and have heard of no feedback or comments from any other Pompey fans to support your claim.

Yebbut he writes fantastic Musicals, "Ohhhhhh, you gotta pick-a-pocket or two-ooooooo, you gotta pick-a-pocket or twooooo!" Just ask young Bradley and Nathan.

Saints 1 Brum 3

No last years was at Wembley also. 80,730 attended Man U v Chelsea. I never saw any man u fans in the pompey areas. Ironically there were pockets of empty seating in amongst the Man U fans (Though not many) it does not show up as clearly as the seats are red and most Man Utd fans were wearing red. I'm not dissapointed with the numbers Pompey took, but I am disappointed with the number of Season ticket holders who did not bother to make the trip for this game. Any saints fans wanting to take the **** out of how many of our 'regulars' passed up on the opportunity to support their team at wembley, feel free as i am, on the whole, in agreement with you.

Very good. Why say 'You Skate bastard' when the doctored words of Rudyard Kipling will Suffice!

No your wrong. The Premiership is the old, old Div one, not the old Div one, your one div.
