Merry Xmas to you too Mack! I know what your saying, I guess it's just in my nature to reach out to those less fortunate than ourselves, especially on such a special day. Should the future unfold as I see it, I've got some wicked designs in my head for a joint stadium i'll see if I can get them onto here for general perusal in the next few days.

No Martini, I'm 34. Why'd you ask? You don't like my painting? Is it 'cos there's too much blue? I tried to even it out and be as balanced as possible without loosing the overall asthetic. Please have a go yourself once your xmas dinner hits the bottom (I'm not so sure on Shirt halves it's a bit too Blackburn Rovers for my liking) . I'm going to think about possible stadium designs after pudding.

I was a bit bored waiting for my Christmas dinner so I thought I'd outline some early ideas for Southmouth FC. I'm sorry that my computer skills don't do my vision justice. Anyway you can get a rough Idea from my preliminary sketches.

Yes! Now were talking!
-
And a sizeable proportion of their fans said 'Over my dead body!' yet most returned plus more fans than ever before. People soon forget, history supports this theory.
-
And a very Merry Christmas to you too! 50 years ago we were friendly rivals, many, probably most of us still are. People think what I suggested is mad, but i'm hardly the first to raise the subject and it's closer to happening now than it's ever been.

Some interesting and funny views! I too would not particularly want it, however i'd be a liar if I said I would not mourn the loss of the club as I know it, but I would support the new club. I've been a Pompey fan all my life but I have to be honest to me It's just an entertainment thing, equally I respect that to many others it is more than that, my own experience Is I have always been a customer, a loyal one, but a customer all the same. Swanny made an excellent point about how clubs come and go, evolve etc, always have, always will. The more I think about his view, the more I find myself subscribing to it.

What if the financial disasters looming for Pompey and Saints were a way of 'forcing' a situation where the only viable way both clubs could survive in the league were to merge. Could you support a Southmouth or Porthampton? Could it ever work? I think it's something that could possibly (though hopefully unlikely) arise as we in the UK head into financial meltdown over the next few years?

Pompey will be ok. Thanks for the concern.
-
Thought you'd be pleased Weston. Merry Christmas and peace on earth to all Saints fans, wherever you may be. Spread the word, The saviour is coming!
-
OH MY GOD! It's happening people. It's happening right now. The takeover is on and will be concluded soon at an unspecified date in the future. Don't say you weren't pre-warned, Portsmouth FC will have a new owner.
-
I am also hearing that Pompey sale will go through next week. I for one will be sad to see Sasha go. He's been fantastic for Pompey and we can all only hope our new owners do as well as he has done.
-
Thank god Pompey are out! We can now concentrate on avoiding relegation. I don't think many Pompey fans realise what a BIG win we had against Blackburn last week!
-
Damn, It was a nice offer, thanks anyway Ottery.
-
It's a lovely offer, thanks Ottery, I don't quite know how to respond......
-
Blimey ESB what a lot of ingrates you lot are. I only post Pompey news to give Saints fans a bit of light relief!
-
My point being this is as likely to be b*llocks as any of the other 'boring' drivel the press comes up with. But if your so ready to believe the doomsayers in the press, then surely you believe this too? For what it's worth my take on it is that it's all b*llocks.

From The Sun: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1985012.ece TONY'S POMPEY CASH BOOST! PORTSMOUTH boss Tony Adams will not be selling his major stars after it emerged last night the club’s cash crisis is over. The Fratton Park faithful had feared a mass exodus to Spurs by the likes of Jermain Defoe, Lassana Diarra and Peter Crouch. But the sales are off as Pompey’s cashflow woes will be eased by the arrival of £10million due from bankers following the sale of Sulley Muntari to Inter. And, with £5m received in compensation for former boss Harry Redknapp’s exit, things are looking up. Adams will also welcome bids for midfield duo Sean Davis and Richard Hughes, along with defensive pair Hermann Hreidarsson and Richard Duffy, as he looks to further improve the club’s finances. A source revealed: “The Muntari situation was the cause of all the rumours surrounding the club’s financial problems. “But it was simply a cashflow problem which will now be resolved as a result of a solution being found to release the cash. “With the money for Harry counted in, the club is now looking to cash in some assets which could see them up to £20million to the good.”

And finally a man who understands!

I know what your saying Mack, However after Pompey's performance against the great AC Milan, I'm not sure we should be so scornful of the them, aren't the Smaller sides entitled to dream?
-
Hello Arizona the club is not up for sale for £1, the club has not announced this. That along with so much that you read is utter made up bull****, but you knew that didn't you? Anyway an interesting aside, kia joorabchian was in the directors box tonight? Not speculating just an observation.
-
Hi Thorpey! Gutted by the result, or more, the cruel nature of it. Anyway, two things, 'Are you watching Southampton' is a **** chant sung by morons who don't really have a ****ing clue how to really hurt their rivals (No brains and no class), why mention Saints on a big night like tonight? Everyone knows (who has any brains whatsoever) that its worse to be ignored than hated? Anyway my second point is how well we played with so many of our Big name players out! Defoe, Kranjcar, Diarra and Campbell. Really proud of the boys tonight. Glad that so many of you are pleased that Pompey got a draw against the mighty AC Milan, Your hatred of us Blew few must be softening? Awwwww

Not to discuss terms with Rupes then?
