New men in the picture, god I hope it's not true. I'm more than happy to be a Premier League survivor, who want's to be challenging Man City for players that will never sign? Kids and ****s. thats who! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/more-sport/2009/02/11/get-the-sack-save-us-a-packet-115875-21113980/

Pompey legend!
-
Dont forget the Swiss.

Hello Chez, Agreed, He is a total crook, I can't believe his name ever comes up where any kind of Job is concerned. Not a nice man at all.
-
Ok, Sorry Marion.
-
If Sven Goran Ericksson takes over then clearly this is an indicator that Pompey as Storrie alluded to, are about to be taken over. Obviously that's good news so long as it's not a takeover of a Man City Magnitude, that would be truelly horrendous!
-
Curbishley won't come. He is embroiled in a legal dispute with West Ham over his sacking. Should he take another job it would jeopardise his legal claim to compensation.

The Internet told me.

Evening Rock, um, Avram Grant. I think it's nailed on anyway. Though I did hear a rumour that Kevin Keegan was on the agenda! Though thats surely a pile of crap!
-
I'm saddened by this. I never wanted him in the first place, but always feel when you appoint a manager he should have time, even IF it means relegation. Decent man, he does not deserve this.
-
You paint a very bleak picture ESB, wish I could say I disagree with you.

Thats and awful lot of jobs and a big blow to the area, likely to be the tip of the iceberg. I'll tell you what F**** me off the most, Why is it that when the highly paid financial sector F**** up, it's the ordinary man on the ground who gets the bullet? I know thats a naive way of looking at it, but I saw it first hand in 1994 (Redundancy) and to see it happening again F**** me right off!

Yes, shared bathrooms. My missus was dead against it, but she wanted to go for 2 weeks and it was the only way we could afford a long stay. However she said she quickly got used to it and was chatting away to all the yanks staying there, I think she quite enjoyed it in the end, despite her reservations.

Fantastic isn't it Deano! Spartan though it is, accomodation in New York is spectacularly expensive so if/when I go again i'll never book anywhere else, unless I come into some money from somewhere! (Fat chance)

If your on a budget the 64th Street YMCA is absolutely brilliant! I stayed 14 nights here and never ran out of things to do, there really is no place like NYC! http://www.ymcanyc.org/index.php?id=708 Why not hire a car and do a loop around? Say NYC, Atlantic City, Washington and Philadelphia before driving back to NY. I did that and it was brilliant I stayed at Super8's: http://www.super8.com/Super8/control/home and Motel 6's motels: http://www.motel6.com/ , cheap as chips and can sleep upto 4 to a room. You might not be on a budget if so ignore all i've said, I love going to the states and my favourite thing to do is fly-drive!

Quite often Deano, but in this instance you misunderstood me.

Going to bed now! Get my 5 hours in before the big event! Hope it's a good one! My prediction: Cardinals 9 Stoolers 21
-
Always better to bet on Pompey, that way you can't lose. If Pompey go down, you'll be happy, if Pompey stay up you can console yourself with a nice meal on the good people at PFC, you can't lose. I've edged my bets like that with Saints a few times, think of it as a disappointment insurance policy!
-
That was my first Superbowl too! Sh*t team the Raiders, but very cool colours!
-
I agree, last years was a bit special, made even better by the fact I backed the Giants Each way at 33/1 going into the play-offs, I even resisted the temptation to lay off a sum on the Patriots in the Superbowl game! By comparison my bets this year were pathetic. At various stages of the season I backed the Cowboys and the Colts, what a *****.
-
As a Cleveland Browns fan it pains me to say it, but the Stoolers will win by 21-9. Cant see Cardinals having any joy with the Stoolers Defence, which is quite frankly, awesome. As an aside does anyone have an 'Approach' to watching the Superbowl? For example, my wife and I always go to bed about 6PM Superbowl Sunday, get up at 11PM and eat Chilli Tex Mex, Nacho's and a few Cans before going back to bed for 2 hours or so before getting up for work at around 6.30AM, I love The Superbowl and pity anyone who can't bring themselves to enjoy it. I can't wait! :smt054:D

Then the Bar really has been lowered if thats what it takes to become a Saints legend in fans eyes? Your old loyal club stalwarts would be turning in their graves.
-
hmmmmm, never thought about that. Got me worried now Nadia.
-
Correct Colin, I guess anyone crossing the divide has to do an awful lot to ever become one of 'ours'. He will be handy in the championship should we need him, however, Glen Johnson he aint.
