I've been thinking about this and wonder if he'll get until the WC break. The lavia injury has been a problem and we've definitely struggled since then. And also the lack of striker in the summer as well. Can't help but think these two things might be while he's still there. However personally we need a manager now who can work with the current squad and motivate the players and improve them.
-
It is not time for Dyche. There are plenty of managers working in Europe who play a high intensity brand of football. We want to develop our plays and progress as a club. Someone like Bo Svensson, Kjetil Knutsen, or Matthias Jaissle is more our style I would have thought
-
I'd rather judge him when we are playing somewhat acceptable football. The same could be said of most of the team for now. Every player is going backwards at the moment...
-
Everything suggests we are still trying to sign him. If we get that over the line as well this would easily be an exceptional window for a club with out resources. And even if we don't get Gakpo, it's still a very very very good window
-
Also I can see space for both in the squad for sure. We aren't blessed with that many attacking players, and that gives us some good depth. Especially with the 5 subs and any injuries
-
Yeh I very much think Gapko is the forward player, rather than a pure out and out striker. That gives us quite a few options to play a more fluid front line with different set ups
-
We were offering £23m+ for delap without selling anyone. I think we have the money for a striker set aside. Also we were after Coady without shifting a CB. I think it's more about finding the right player who fits what we need.
-
He didn't choose stoke over us. It's been well reported that we didn't want a loan and were only interested in buying him l. And city were unwilling to sell him this summer
-
Because the last few seasons they have consistently had European football, and owner who has written off over £100m of their debt (I think £140m+ ?), and we've been fighting relegation battles.

It's been reported here which someone pointed me towards - https://trainingground.guru/articles/exclusive-crocker-leaving-fa-to-join-southampton But I have no idea about hoe genuine the source is -
Gutted for Bury! With family members who live near to the town and support the club, the heart has been ripped out. I don't believe the football league should have been allowed to let this happen. Whether that means they need rules to enable them to step in when owners are at fault or a way to prevent owners from miss-management I don't know. To small towns like that, especially in the shadow of so many clubs in and around Manchester, those clubs are such community assets. It's a dark day not just for Bury for football in this country.

Found this article - http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/rcd-espanyol-shirt-sponsor-ld-sports And yeh if you look it up seems they have ditched their sponsors for LD Sports...

Adam Leitch confirming we have submitted a deal sheet
-
Except we can have up to two hours to finish a deal if it's close
-
Echo are saying him and Adam's were Ralph's top two targets, maybe he thought the attack needed more priority and can work with what we have at CB more easily given the strengthening in attack. It will be disappointing if we don't get a CB, but I don't think it will be the end of the world. Unfortunately rebuilding is going to be a slow process due to the amount of players we need to shift, and with European clubs transfer windows going longer, they can afford to wait and play hardball with us. However I'm still optimistic that we will be better than we were last season given what he did after he came in, and he's had a full preseason now as well.
-
2 points from 10th 13 points above 18th IF we performed the same this coming season then I would expect us to be closer to the top 10 than the bottom 3. Obviously it goes without saying an extra CB is preferable.
-
This! That was a pivotal moment in our promotion. Had we lost that game, I think we would have probably ended up in the playoffs with the promotion race being so tight
-
I find it hard to judge Ross Wilson at the moment. While he has been there during some shocking transfers, he has also been there while we have signed some decent players. Given that Reed and now Kruger have both lost their jobs, the part we will probably never know is where the blame should fall. Was Reed not signing the players that Wilson was keen on? Or was it Wilson pushing the shocking transfers. Given the change in management I would hope it's the former, but time will tell. He also seemed to be one of the ones who pushed Saints towards Hasenhuttl.
-
Which means we are probably looking for another vice chairman type and possibly someone to help with recruitment as well. I would assume that would leave us with something like this CEO/Vice Chairman type (New Hire) | Ross Wilson | Recruitment (New Hire)
-
Ross Wilson is the Director of football operations. He's taking on part of Reed's role is seems.
-
There are two possible thoughts here... 1) Wilson is as to blame, and will be replaced. 2) Wilson has been working under difficult circumstances and has been overridden by Reed who has not listened to his advice. Time will tell, but from the outside it's hard to know who led who up the garden path. If it's the former then I would expect him to be replaced by whoever is coming in.

#LaLiga and RELEVENT partner to promote soccer in the US and Canada.

I'm not sure the quality of football would drop much... if the top teams form their own league, we would still have access to the same players. Yes money might go down but those players would have to take a pay cut as they aren't going to get money elsewhere. We can still employ the same tactic now, getting young players and then seeing them leave for the big teams, making money in the process. -
It would be the opposite to what the club have constantly been saying for the last couple of years, in January, and as recent as a couple of weeks ago. I'm still yet to see a concrete source on this rumour other than random tweets and posts. Nothing from the usual journos. As far as we know through any journos and news outlets is Mark Hughes in on holiday this week, and the deal is close.
-
Other than a random tweet and some people claiming their mate at the stadium says so, there is no proof this is the case. We won't know the truth of it until after the transfer window closes.
