  1. Any idea how well this is selling? Be interesting to see if there is another surge if we get a result against Arsenal or United. Would of thought it might have sold out by now, still a good effort by the looks of things though.
  2. Deleted his "Merci frero" tweet to Schneiderlin.... Maybe not so popular with the squad either now? Honestly cant see a way back for him now, good riddance. Take the £20mil as long as he's sold abroad
  3. Another +1 for just the Lambert thank you banner
  4. Lambert for me - the past 5 years it's been brilliant to have the confidence that a penalty is a guaranteed goal with that man on the pitch.
  5. I love him like a family member, but even I wouldn't do that. Will give him a massive reception when he returns, but once the whistle goes he’s an opposition player at the end of the day.
  6. Legend. Taking away all the emotions, I can just about see the sense in it. Although we will have a close to impossible time replacing for £4mil. Cant remember ever being as gutted at a player leaving, would have loved to see him finish his career here but it wasn’t to be. As much as I hate Liverpool, I’d love to see him have one last bit of success and add a premier league medal to his name.
  7. Hilarious. Good luck to him, as others say always gave 100% but was never going to cut it in the prem. Hope he does a job for Forest.
  8. Ridiculous. I wouldn't even consider anything less than £7mil.
  9. Jan Paul Saeijs v Watford?
  10. I've seen him twice this season. Good player but nowhere near good enough for us. I'd say he could possible do a job for Bournemouth given the right coaching, and the fact he's still only 17. Probably stands out because of the divison he plays in, I've seen a lot better even just a league above.
  11. One of my best mates is one, same as a few posts above though - top bloke until it comes to any Saints / Pompey discussions, then he just talks absolute sh!t. Although the reverse of this, I know plenty of Saints fans who are f*cking bell ends.
  12. Think I must be in the minority in thinking Fonte has been harshly judged here. Definitely made some costly mistakes already, but he's played against 2 of the best strike forces he will face this season - and Wigan. Although arguably got fouled for their second goal (not in my opinion - but could easily have been given the free kick). Davis doesn't help when he plays these suicide balls across the back, it's all well and good playing from the back, but every now and then you just need to f*ck it off into row Z. I think Maya will most probably start, although I think Podolski is nowhere near the player RVP or Tevez are, so should it be Fonte he will fare a lot better.
  13. I honestly dont think he would look out of place at a top 4 team. A season of performances like yesterday and he'll be gone in the summer IMO (should he wish to leave that is) An absolute pleasure to watch at times and definitely needs his own song, just an unfortunate name to fit into one.
  14. Right decision - We obviously need to put ourselves in first and foremost, massive game sunday and we've now got another 2 days to prepare for it. Would have been nice for them to get their £100k but it's not the end of the world.
  15. I'm sure there weren't many people who were shocked to see Lamebrt on the bench, in hindsight though, a great decision. Perhaps having Sharp instead of Guly to hold up and chase would have been different, who knows though. Lambert looked quality when he came on though, turned the game around for 10 minutes at least. Anyone who thought he would struggle at this level was shut well and truly up yesterday, looking forward to him banging in a lot more this season. A mention to Davis as well, thought he looked decent and perhaps starting him ahead of JWP would have been more appropraite yesterday (not to say JWP looked out of place - just the experience of Davis would have been more beneficial)
  16. Well, I for one f*cking hate him. Claridge and Gary Neville would be the ideal pair IMO.
  17. 1-1 I reckon, us scoring first half.
  18. Clyne. I've got Schneiderlin and Lambert - may have to re-think morgan though due to the fact he scores less than Davis.
  19. Obviously not going in heavy on this one, but - Saints HT / Draw FT - 43/1 Arsenal Newcastle Charlton Burnley Bournemouth £10 = £599.40 - All with Betfair
  20. Split on this. If I was paid cash in hand I'm not sure I would pay tax on it. Then again, I don't, so if I have to pay my tax I think everyone should, regardless of how you're paid. Either way it's f*ck all compared to how much the elite have / are avoiding now, so I think that problem should be sorted first and foremost.
  21. It's just as effective as man marking. You're always going to concede at some point whichever way you choose to defend them. I'd guess the majority of teams mark man to man and goals come from corners every week. I think if you've got the right players who can stick to what they're told then it's potentially better, but you're always going to get the odd perfect ball in, or lucky deflection.
  22. Betfair have us 19/1 to beat City. I'm definitely having a bit on that, free money!
  23. Drag me to hell scared the sh!t out of me. Insidious is one I found over rated, much like Paranormal Activity.
  24. I can't see the listener ratings staying the same if they are aiming for an average age of 23. Surely the majority people driving to work at that time of the morning are at least 30+? I quite like Chris Moyles, can be funny at times and is bearable on the way to work. Cannot stand that annoying kn*b Grimshaw though, the camp northen accent is the most irritating thing going. Ratings will drop dramatically IMO, would have preferred Greg James or even Scott Mills to be honest. Just means having to find a different station for 30 mins in the morning.
  25. I enjoyed it, was quite competitive for a pre season game. Wasn't particularly one sided but we were always going to win. Sholing's right winger first half, and lanky striker second half looked useful.
