If MLT wasn't linked to Pinnacle what would you think now?
modern matron replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
Does the delay make you doubt whether this is the best bid? Also if MLT hadn't backed what in you opinion would have been the reaction of the forum? -

I'm sorry on what grounds is this better than any other bid? We have no idea do we? -

I suppose what I mean if you replace TL with MJ being backed by MLT is there a lot of difference - I know MJ has talked crap unlike TL but would we have backed Jacko if MLT backed it? -
I have to say that I am very worried about MLT's position! Initially I was impressed with TL and his honesty. However, I know nothing about the bid except trhat Pinnacle is a very small bit part player backed by who and we are receiving to many forum updates telling us little we didn't know? Why don't we know the prospective new owner's identity and why are things so stuck over the 10 points at such a vital time. Does MLT have involvement in decision making? I mean KD coaching himself and Mark Wotte managing on a contract of what 5 days!! That is a joke and what about season ticket renewals, contract renewals, a new manager and players..... I am worried and I think if MLT was not linked I would have given up by now. Let's here from the prospective owner not TL and then I will be convinced. Frankly we don't want Howard Hughes or more recently Marcus Evans invisible Ipswich owner type methods. My final comment (which I sincerely hope will be totally wrong) is that this bid doesn't fail and in some way tarnish MLT's reputation. Still positive (just)!

Mark Fry of administrator Begbies Traynor told BBC Radio Solent: "It's very unlikely a transaction [for the club] will be completed." The Pinnacle consortium, backed by Saints legend Matt Le Tissier, has had its deadline extended until late on Monday afternoon. "They haven't delivered what they said [they would]," Fry added I maybe wrong but surely he's not saying that we won't be sold, but that it won't be to the Pinnacle group.....maybe this overseas lot?
-
Does this mean that Fry will proceed with the "other" bid after Monday passes if Pinnacle cannot satisfy him with their financial guarantees?
-
The payers have let us down..... a new club should be without the current lot - except KD....

I respect your updates, but what are we supposed to make of this latest post? Is this your opinion or based on what? It just worries me and I don't know why, I have no idea who you are or why I should take any notice of you - after all this is supposed to be a fans forum.......not the Financial Times.....!

MLT on SSN confirmation of Consortium involvment

Oh Stanley you've just summed it up - "Oh my god, this place just get's more surreal. It's a poxy messageboard" Then why are you sitting there all day long posting then watching...? What you or I think matters very little so let them get on with it -THEN when they tell us what's going on it's our turn..... -

Then I suggest, with respect Derry, that you calm down a bit....I understand your frustration but.... -

With respect Stanley give it a rest! You're sounding like you should be diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia............go to bed and take your medication!! Matron has spoken! Seriously, all this tittle tattle is best kept out of the public arena until we all know formally.... -

With respect Weston, please keep your powder dry. The effect you're having on certain posters is surely going to worry possible buyers.....after all it is confidential I presume? -
Is this linked with the SSN story being shown this morning? This is suggesting MLT is working with a local property developer who is in turn working for another property developer? MLT would join the board ........

Reading for me too. Some mates who are Reading season ticket holders drove us up and were saying that Reading were going to thrash us and how crap we were. The drive back was bliss. We rubbed it in there faces all the way home!

We could have sold Dyer and Lallana in January
modern matron replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
Surely the point is that the board should never have kept players for whom they had buyers if it meant this outcome. It's incompetent and sad. I for one do think the million we might have got would have been good business if it kept the company afloat... -
Much as I hate him and I am glad he's gone, it's the premier league and Sky's obsession with it that is the main reason for our financial state in my view - the greed of a few will cost many clubs in the future....I would also count Lowe in that group before we got relegated. Unfortunately we went down just as the big bucks flowed....
