  1. PMSL!!!! So the guy, who "saved" the club in their second admin, signing autographs left, right and center, basically bribed Gaydamak to vote for the CVA? That bribe, is now seems to be the final nail in the coffin for Pompey?! You really couldn't make this up
  2. They're bleeding cash every day, even with cutbacks and deferrement of wages. Birch asked for supporters to raise at least £1m. If that doesn't happen, liquidation could start in April.
  3. Just wondering..... How many ST holders does Pompey have? Those numbers and that money has to be deducted from every calculations. So they are even more f*ck*d than before
  4. Have to go with my own Danish one. Back in the 80'ies the band at Parken would only play the three first chords and the crowd did the rest. Was pretty amazing to see and participate in. Favorite one was against USSR in ´86 when Denmark won 4-2. Here's a more modern one:
  5. According to the article, Huseklepp is travelling to Birmingham this morning. No deal done so far, but agent is hopefull a deal will be done today.
  6. Huseklepps agent has now confirmed, that he (Huseklepp, not the agent) has joined Birmingham on loan for the remainder of the season http://www.nrk.no/sport/fotball/1.8007960
  7. The thing about Pompey's apparant transfer success that get's me everytime this "profit" is put forward, is the fact that they needed to sell those players at the time to pay off the debts to Standard Bank and other banks at the time. The banks wanted their money back almost instantly! They already had massive debts at the time. It wasn't a profit, it was only the first (and only) cost cutting action they took.

  10. "You need bigger boobs if this is to work"
  11. Either way, they're f**ked!
  12. That was his own opinion, but then again, he's been isolated from the mayhem that is Portsmouth for quite some years now here in Norway.
  13. Just spoke to a Pompey-supporting mate of mine (seems we all have at least one) and he said: "We're dead!"
  14. I have a feeling, we're committing hybris at the moment. Remembering our own administration and the gloating Pompey-supporters.... They have their nemesis now. Don't gloat too much over them going out of business. These things have a tendency to come back and bite you in the a*se.
  15. ...and this after Lampitt confirmed on national radio that they had no potential buyers.... This is a disgrace and an offence to more cunning thieves!
  16. May I offer a toast to Pompey and all the fun they've given us over the years?!
  17. Norwegian article on Saggyface as England manager. Included comments from Anders Svensson: http://www.nrk.no/sport/fotball/1.7989115 Translated Svensson bit with Google: But - not everyone has good experiences with the 64-year-old from London. - Harry is a nice guy, but football knowledge? I found no tactical knowledge, says the Swede Anders Svensson in an interview with Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. He played under Redknapp at Southampton in the 2004/2005-season. Svensson says Redknapp at Tottenham has shown a good intuition when it comes to which players should be looked at, because the team works so well for some major changes. - But tactically, no there is not much, he said. Bought new - relegated Svensson points out an episode in January 2005. Southampton had beaten Liverpool 2-0, and won the local derby against Portsmouth 2-1. During the same period Redknapp happy to buy, bought more new faces to a team Svensson believed already worked very well - and made a number of rotations. Svensson was one of the players more or less lost his place in the starting and the team were relegated. - I had no problems with him as a person, but I'm surprised that he is so highly valued in terms of his tactical skills
  18. Who wrote the comment?
  19. Everyone thinks Pompey will be able to cover costs by selling players, but as we've learned over the January transfer window, is that no other club can or would want to match the personal terms their players are on. So they'll most likely see out their contracts and leave on free transfers.
  20. So they are "saved" by the one guy, who keeps the club in a constant stranglehold? This just adds to this hilarious situation. Maybe third time is a charm for him.

    Guly

It completely amazes me, how of all supporters in the country, Saints fans moan about an lazy, inconsistent performer, who scores loads of goals. You would think, they've gotten used to it, after adoring another lazy, inconsistent player who scored tons of goals. I'm not comparing Guly to Le Tissier, but had the latter been at Saints today in his prime, he would have been constantly slated on this forum.
  22. With the introduction of politics to this thread, expect Dune to join the fracas any time soon.
  23. I love the quote from this article: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/no_fire_sale_but_questions_remain_unanswered_1_3473874 "But while we can breathe a sigh of relief that no fire sale took place and the Blues still boast their best players, plenty of questions now need to be answered: n How will Pompey alleviate their financial crisis having not received the expected windfall from player sales?" That is as about the saddest bit of journalism, I've ever seen! The News just never fail to amaze me, how they will not write a single critical article on Pompey.
  24. It's liquidation time.... 20th of February is the court date.
