  1. 42 The Calls Bewleys Hotel Leeds Cedar Court Hotel Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford Crowne Plaza Etap Leeds Express by Holiday Inn I sometimes stay in a homestay http://www.hfhss.com but don't think they go as far north as Leeds.
  2. The best time of year is Hanami, which is usually around about the middle of April in tokyo. This is when they have huge drinking picnics in the parks under the cherry blossom trees. It sounds a little strange but is really enjoyable. Everyone takes part from the young to the old, the whole country gets drunk. If you are going to Tokyo go to Yoyogi Park on Sunday, it's a good experince. The nearest station is Harajuku on the Yamanote line. Yoyogi/Harajuku is where all the 'strange' people go on Sundays, From the rockbillie dancers to the young kids in costumes. Don't go to Irish bars and get ripped off. If you want to go drinking to to a tradittional japanese place like Watami or Wara Wara. These are chains of restraunts/drinking places and are much cheaper + much better than the 'pubs'. The most useful japanese phrases are: "Nomi Hodi" or "Tabe Hodi". This means all you can eat or all you can drink. You can usually get this for about £12.50 for 2 hours. It will make your trip much cheaper. Worth a trip is the Sushi bar at the top of "ichmaluku" in Shibuya. The building is easy to spot from the station as it has oioi written on it in huge neons. This building is where all the 20 something and teen girls go shopping so worth it for that alone. The sushi bar is really cheap and they keep the fish alive in tanks until people order it. Sometimes the fish is still twitching. It doesn't get any fresher than that. If you need any further info then PM me.
  3. Agreed i had a feeling we would be away to either cardiff, bristol city or huddersfield. I was glad when saints got rotherham or luton at home. A home tie is essential against these types of teams
  4. so did i. There were about 9 balls left after saints got pulled out, those 2 were still there. I'm pleased we got rotherham or luton though
  5. That would be too nasty, it wont end like that, surely. lol
  6. Maybe he was just returning the training tops that where delivered to his house just after Wotte was sacked.
  7. Derby 08-09 season. won 1-0, mcgoaldrought scored from about 1 yard off the line, even he couldnt miss it. Since then, every game i've gone to we havent won. 5 losses and 7 draws.
  8. we should conentrate more on the play-offs more than surviving, its easy to stay up! 50 points should be enough to stay up at the end of the season, we are currently on 14 with 31 games to go. that could be 12 wins to stay up, losing 19. or if we draw loads, we still need to slip up more than 19 times in the last 31 games, that aint gonna happen. at least 12 teams in the league must drop points every week, sooner or later, the top 6 will. as long as we keep winning, we'll be fine. simples
  9. Japanese isn't too difficult once you get to grips with it and understand that everything is the opposite to English (grammar wise). The best way to learn any language is to memorise 100 verbs, 100 adjectives etc then get drunk with a local and butcher their language. After a while you will pick up on their sentence structure, expressions etc.
  10. i went to northwich vs charlton today, great game. i would've killed to get them away but never mind!
  11. Alpine really is the Victor Meldrew of all saints fans.
  12. We need the chances to be falling to the right people. At times we look similar to Arsenal do at time in that the players always want an extra touch and to make the perfect goal. As soon as the chances fall for Lambert we are celebrating a goal. having another player up front creates more space and chances for Lambert and in turn more goals. I'm not sure we should be gun hoe against some of the better teams but many of the teams in this division are intimidated by us. Against teams like Brighton at home we should always start with 2 up front to give them problems and not let them settle into the game.
  13. I was there and the atmosphere was fantastic. Much more than the players deserved at times but in the end both players and fans were fantastic.
  14. Well if Tony said so it must be true. Does Adams still have a gambling problem? Every job that comes up he is always one of the favorites. Do you think he is betting on himself?
  15. ******** i wanted northwich vics away charlton got them bristol rovers vs saints better be on tv
  16. And in fact we never all were living in a Kevin Davies wonderland at that time I was actually living in Chandlers Ford just south of the Kevin Davies wonderland. I also have some doubts Kelvin Davis is in fact super as he is yet to save someone from a burning building. I was never given a pompey fan on a string.....that too i'm afraid is a lie.
  17. We went to the pub part on an afternoon in the summer with my 14-year-old brothers, my girlfriend and a few of our friends all in our 30's. Everyone was going to eat but they wouldn't let us because we had a 14 year old with us. It was around 4pm and it is not exactly the working mans club. What pub now a days doesn't let accompanied under 18's in for food in the middle of the afternoon?
  18. Cars with felt roofs
  19. Wade Elliot is now a new found hard man at Burnley and is sticking the boot into players twice his size. Strange as he was never much of a 'Ardnut' as a child.
  20. Leon Best came on for the Rep of Ireland against Italy and looked good. My friend at work is a Palace season ticket holder and says Ryan Smith is a great impact player. Just signed a new contract last week.
  21. I really hope there are tickets left, ive already booked my train tickets down from cheshire. If i cant get them on monday, ill have to sit in the home end and keep quiet
  22. Portsmouth owner Sulaiman Al Fahim says the Premier League strugglers are unlikely to buy new players in the January transfer window. Full story: The Guardian
  23. Wade is a bit of a big head these days though. He also loves nothing better than beating us as well. Sayng that I would be pleased if he did come back and play for us. He is yet another one that got away. I was just think on Saturday if we could fill a team with players who actually support the club. Could have Wade, Volkes and Taylor for starters. Anyone else?
  24. Only until Saturday
  25. He had a right old moan in 42 about saints. Saying it was terrible not being paid and that it was a worrying time for the players. His 5k per week before we were in admin didn't supply enough of a buffer for Jason...
