I thought he was crap in the first half and should have been taken off. Too light weight for today's game. In the 2nd he did put in a few good balls but still lacked the pace of Antonio or the skills of lallana. Strange game to start him off with.

Just back from the game. Fair result in the end but still gutted. Ref was very weak, they were all over lambert all game. First free kick we get and we score. Ostembor doesn't look great but the two at cb were very good. Fonte will be a star. Kd man of the match by far.

I'm in. Good song, then at least we would have two half decent player songs. You never know one day we might even be able to make our own tune for a player song.

When clubs buy a player, they don’t look at the transfer fee as we do. They look at the whole package cost, transfer fee, signing on fee, total wages for contract, agents fee etc. My guess is that after negotiation the package for Ward was pretty high. NC may have given AP the choice, Ward or Seaborne plus Ostenbore plus Misfud. Pardew might have looked at the gamble, Ward with a dodgy medical V 3 players who might turn out to be gems and gone for the 3. This is all just a guess as not in the know about this in anyway.

i think 80 points should be enough for play-offs, so for us, its 90 from the start of the season. 90/46 = 1.9565 so after 21 games we shouldve earned 41 points, we have earned 35 as a result to a poor start. because of the -10, we are on 25 points now with 25 games left to get 55 more points. if we do that we need to get an average of 2.2 points per game or 11 points every 5 games. if we get 55, we could get it by 18 wins, 1 draw and 6 losses. the max number of points we can now get is 100, so we can drop 20 in 25 games. i think we can do it, in the last 2 years, 76 points has been enough to get into the play-offs, so we might not have to get 80
