You can actually get 'super advance' tickets for £10 if you book 7 days in advance. I usually do this but if not I buy on the day for about £27.

Pretty sure it is £27 for an off peak day return. At least it is at the weekend when I travel down for matches. I buy from the counter btw not a website.

I was saddened that no saints players (to my knowledge) deferred their wages or as in the case of Tomasi at Roma said don’t pay me more than expenses. It was documented on several podcasts at the time that the money the fans (most of whom probably struggle to make ends meet) had raised in the whip round went straight into the players pockets and helped fund their fantastic lifestyle. I don't think the Saints players or the Pompey players have any better/worse ethics than the other. I still hate Pompey though!

What is really annoying is I bet when we get there, there will be loads of empty seats. Been looking on away grounds .com and reading about WBA playoff final V Derby. They both sold out all of their allocation, with people left disappointed. On the day of the game the middle area was empty making the atmosphere worse and people annoyed that their friends had to watch on TV. Why do they do this sort of thing? mental!

That is nothing; I stayed up until 12:00 last night just in case, then tried again at 1am... Then over 200 calls this morning, god knows how may tries on the internet and finally....GOT 3 TICKETS. Up in the sky, might need oxygen but at least I have them. Was getting ready to call Carlisle and go in their end. This is going to be the most amount of saints fans in one place I have ever seen. COME ON YOU REDS will be deafening.

Just take them back to the club. I had 2 leeds tickets but couldn't go due to work. I called the ticket office and swapped them for the Walsall match.

Alpine get your thread ready

Anyone got ny radio links? I have saints player but going out and can't get it to work on my iphone. Tried icar radio but it doesn't work as radio solent is BBC and doesn't play live matches on the net.

To be fare I think Alpine posts half of these just to get a reaction. The whole interview is on saints player. Pardew says it wouldn't do the young players any harm to have another 12 months winning matches. Then we we go up, we not only have players a year older, we have players with 18 months of winning games behind them. He talks about momentum and I for one agree with him.

Could do If we don't get any next Wednesday. Won't be the same if we can sing saints songs and cheer on the team.

What a nightmare. Me and my brother have been to most games home and away this season except for midweek games as I live in London and he lives near Manchester. We weren't able to go to the semi finals because of this reason and now look pike we will miss out on the final. Think our place will be taken by some plus ones that are going for the first time this season. Anyone know anything about the extra 10k we requested?

I think his ball skills are very good but agree a bit about the passing. The ball playing part comes from the fact he can actually control and trap a ball before passing it. There was a point again Walsall were he controlled it beautifully on his thigh as the striker closed him down then passed it on the ground to Dan Harding to start a counter attack. the Walsall player just turned his back as if to say 'why do I bother?'. He does lump it up the field a bit but I think Pardew has instructed the back 4 to get the ball up to Lambert ASAP as our attack is so good. Especially at home, this is a great way to keep the pressure on the opposition. In summery, a great player with ball playing skills and the hair cut to match.

I think he is doing a fantastic job and if anything, he was man of the match today. Everyone new and held their position well, we didn’t get sucked in to the ball and this meant we always had a passing option. Things take time. This is the first time I have seen us use the multi ball system well! We had width all game and we switched formation several times, sometimes with Lambert drifting wide and Lallana filling the space. A lot of these small but essential developments are difficult to see when you are up in Scotland or on a European mountain range. I’m all for people voicing their opinions but such strong opinions when the closest you get to seeing the game is through Dave Merrington? Pardew is doing a fantastic job and if you disagree, you’re wrong
