We definitely out sung them for large periods of the game, it did go flat after they got their 2nd. We don’t have a large repertoire of songs though and we seemed to have an obsession of singing anti Man U songs. The who the feck are Man Utd song for example. It couldn’t be more obvious that they would come back and bite us on the arse. It was only a matter of time before they started singing it to us. It would have been much better if we sung more pro saints songs. I remember some mongs at the back of the chapel moaning that people weren’t singing against Blackpool. I think there were plenty of people who would have joined in a good song or a song that fitted the moment but singing ‘premier league, you’re having a laugh’ 2 minutes into the first half, didn’t fit the moment. This may sound arrogant but I think there are times when certain songs fit and when they don’t. If you start the wrong song at the wrong time, don’t start moaning at people in your farmer accent when they don’t join in with you.

That was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen on SSN. Big Ben with players on it for each dong, bit over dramatic if you ask me.

SSN say poopey in for SWP....hahaha

Just watched the game back and we were fantastic for 60 minutes and according to what I heard at the game and watching it back, we definitely out sung utd until they took the lead. The difference was Nani and their change of shape. The brought on width but we kept with the narrow diamond. The wingers were give far too much room and it stretched the middle. If NA would have maybe played five across the middle we might have just held on. In the end a fair result though.

That's why we should sing it more for Lallana. I couldn't figure out why they were singing it for a player who left but the actual words were "get him on a plane, bring him back from Spain viva Ronaldo". Wonder if we would sing it about a player who in such a way. I very much doubt it.

There has to be something more to it than wanting to play in the NPC as Brighton are heading that way. I would guess something personal, maybe a bust up with GP. If not, he is mental. Let's face it, he is not going to win up in his career is he? Is he sticks with Brighton for another few months, he would have a better than fair chance of a league winners medal.

Anyone see Adkins on SSN this morning speaking normal English? I'm more worried about Herndez than any other player. His pace could cause RJ some problems.
-
What about if we took a picture of Lallana lying in a coffin? Or of OXO being beaten in a race by Wotten?
-
Come on, give him a trial at least. I've just bet him that he will never play for us... He couldn't resist!

Limit drinking to 2 pints before each game and the pitch will seen closer.
-
He has to move into Martin O'Neil's flat in Winchester.

Winston Bogarde at Chelsea however it seemed to suit him fine. I think it should be in the contract that if they refuse to play, they have to turn up at Asda on Sunday morning and do a shift pushing trollies in the car park.

Le Tissier Snubbed ticket for United game ?
Tokyo-Saint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Matt was a great player and showed more loyalty than your average footballer (let's not forget he did sign for spurs but his mrs made him change his mind). Matt works for sky and is therefore a journalist, he could get himself a ticket for any game he wanted. He is a fan but why does he want to come to the man utd match and not Tranmere away? If this was another fan he would be getting called all sorts on here. Finally 10 tickets for his mates? Don't they have customer numbers? Don't they go to matches themselves? If they were fans you would have thought they would all ready have their tickets. I have my 3 due to sitting on the bloody phone. Sorry Matt can come, bring a mate maybe even 2 if he must but the other 7 can watch it on tv. -
Against Brentford and Huddersfield away we looked very one dimensional, trying to play it out of the back to the full backs. Both teams just went tight on our full backs and also prepared for the ball down the line to our wingers. Adkins looks to have made a concerted effort to ‘mix it up a bit’ playing off Lambert at times and playing diagonal balls behind the full backs as well as keeping possession when we have the other team pinned back. This was executed perfectly against Blackpool in the cup. This signing is probably to allow us to still have the longer option for when Lambert is knackered or if he gets injured. Also, taller players tend to take longer to develop and come in to their own much later in their career ala Nail Quinn and Kevin Davies.

Neil Heaney and Franckie Bennett both had Antonio levels of pace and could change a game. As could Banger. I remember Dodds testimonial where banger and Dowie up front for the old timers looked much better than Beattie and Davies.

One of the most disappointing things about being a saints supporter, is not the fact we always let young talent leave, or we have always looked for the cheap option to do things. It really is the fact that spurs can sing our song better than us. That is down to us as supporters and is truly embarrassing.
