Millwall V Saints - Post Match Reaction
Barry the Badger replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
This place does my head in sometimes. I'm no happy clapper, I'm gutted tonight but a bit of perspective please! -
I'm with SS on this, the 5800 is a very good smartphone.

I for one hope Thatcher doesn't die, ever, as I will have to put up with people on TV being nice about her and telling me what a great leader she was.
-
Pretty sure you can hear him say "oh ****" too if you listen closely enough.

http://www.thebeautifulaim.com As above, not very far.

Arton Baleci http://www.thebeautifulaim.com He has gotten a bit fitter but in football terms basically nowhere. FWIW as a Right Back I used to watch saints right back and really think "I'm sure I could do a decent job for Saints", especially when it was Jermaine Wright playing there. Then one week my Sunday team came up against a team who had an ex-conference Basingstoke player helping them out upfront. He had already played once that day but he completely tore us, and me, to pieces. That was an eye opener.

I think that at regular intervals in the race music should start playing. All the drivers should then stop and start running around the track whilst Bernie runs onto the track and takes one car away. When the music stops they have to jump into a car and the guy left without one is out. The winner is the driver who is still driving when theres just one car left.

no no no no. Lightweight.

I work at a school although I am not a teacher. When we had the snow in February the school remained open while others in the area closed. The school received a lot of criticism for opening as by doing so they apparently put 'pressure' on parents to get their kids to school in 'unsafe' conditions. So this time they closed, and are criticised for it. You can't win.

Best piece of advice I can give you.... People get too hung up on contrast ratios and other statistics. Go to a shop and use your eyes. :-) -
Are you serious?

Football Manager 2010 DEMO OUT NOW
Barry the Badger replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
Funny really, I always liked the fact that the history screen only shows the league figures (which are a more accurate measure of performance), but if you click on the year you can see the more detailed figures for each competition. -
No it's not the only argument. In 2004/05 we were struggling towards the bottom of the league, we sacked the manager, what happened next? in 2008/09 we were struggling towards the bottom of the league, we sacked the manager, what happened next? I'm not saying those did not seem like the right decisions at the time, but what good did it do us? Sweet F A thats what. This club has been playing **** now pretty much constantly since Sturrock left, that's Wigley, Redknapp, Burley, Pearson, Portvliet, Wotte and now Pardew who have struggled to get our team to fufil its potential on a consistent basis. Redknapp and Pearson have both had success since then with other clubs. Maybe the problem is not the managers? An analogy for you, which will probably get ripped to shreds but what the hell... If you put an animal in a cage with an electric fence, they may try to get through it a few times at first, but after a while they figure out that there is no point trying to do something which has failed time and time again in the past and ended up with them in pain. Yet the 'Pardew out' gang would probably still be sitting there covered in electrical burns trying to get through it every 10 minutes in the desperate hope that it might eventually work. Let's try something else is all I am saying.
-
I suggest that we've tried sacking the manager already a few times in recent history, two of those we got relegated. Lets try sticking with it this time.
-
I honestly cannot believe the number of people starting to call for Pardew to go! How many managers in the last 10 years? and where did it get us? FFS I know it's not great at the moment but I really don't get why do so many people think change will automatically make everything better? We can't just keep scrabbling around changing manager twice a season, sooner or later you have to give a manager a chance to build a proper team.
-
I always used to like 'Tahar's gonna get ya', could we use that? Radhi's gonna get ya!

Arrogance can be an asset in sport if harnessed in the right way by a clever manager.

Huddersfield 3-1 Saints - Post Match Reaction
Barry the Badger replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I honestly cannot beleive the reaction from many on here. Pardew had how many weeks of pre-season? Of course we're going to be a bit dodgy. -
Neo, you are the one.

That would've been quite clever if you had actually made it make sense.
