I know somebody who features on the list as being owed around 50k. They have not been owed it since Early March. Something fishy going on.

Which ones did you tell her, out of interest?

I have read and re-read the Begovic thing, and I still don't understand how they can owe Spurs 1 million for him.

Hilarious. -
So hang on, you are telling me that having searched through trying to find some dirt, the worst thing you could find in Cleggs expenses is that he claimed £4.99 for some cushions??? ...and Chris Hugne claimed 79p for some biscuits. F*cking hell, these Lib Dems are bleeding our country dry! Give it a rest.

My cousin had a ST at Plymouth the season they won promotion a few years back, whilst at uni there. He says Paul Wotton was bloody amazing, he was their best player, and cannot believe it's the same player he now watches for Saints.

His ability to switch the ball out to the wings quickly and confidently was desperately needed last night.

I don't usually have a lot of time for Bernie but...

I thought Hamilton should have yielded straight away when he realised he was half a car length behind. However once Vettel starting squeezing him into the pit boxes he was a bit stuck, and that was utterly stupid from Vettel. -
This is getting boring. I think we have established that nobody wants Pardew out, despite criticism from some quarters. That said, it is fairly amusing to see CB Fry c*mming his pants at every opportunity to say he was right.

Of course, utimately we need NC and ML more than we need AP, but I don't think it's something we actually need worry about at present. AP is doing a great job IMO and I don't really think there is any rift at all. Personally I think you have read too much into NC's statements earlier this season, and whether you mean to or not you have been scaremongering ever since by speculating about NC not being happy with AP's performance. In the current climate, where we have come off the back of years with no stablity and a club divided and depressed, people are always going to react badly to the suggestion that things might not be as stable as they seem, because we are terrified that this current situation will not last (well, I am).

I think the red was more for the intent... if you just look at the tackle in isolation it might've been a yellow, but it was so clear that it was 'afters' to the tussle just before, and it was pretty obvious he wasn't going for the ball.
-
I think that we're just all enjoying the current relative success so much after years of sh*te, that many people are a bit jumpy about anything that might derail it (eg any negativity towards AP frightens us).

Yeovil (0) v (1) Saints,post match chat...

I think the problem is that Derry's opinion appears to fly in the face of all evidence. I want two things from a Saints football manager, results and a sense that they're in touch with the fanbase. AP has delivered both. -
Perhaps Paul Allen could lend him his yaught.
-
That was mental. No wonder he was shaken up, he was just a passenger.

I think the type of person who would shy away from voting Lib Dem because Cleggs wife is foreign, would probably not think about voting Lib Dem in the first place.
-
Don't think they would, as a competition it would have so much less interest without the relegation battles and would impact on TV viewing figures. Less people watching = less money.
-
I think the rule would have been there to stop them actually engaging in conversation with the audience. As for Clegg, he was just checking that he had understood the point of the original question correctly, I don't think it was a problem.

Honorary Lions Fans for Friday Night..?
Barry the Badger replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Sorry mate you've not got that quite right. If they draw both those games and win their other two they will have 79 points, which is more than we can get. We need them to lose one and draw one if we win all ours. Mod's note: Post since edited. -
I think I might love him in a ghey way

I agree, and also think that the advantage in football generally doesn't last long enough. I'm no great Rugby fan but I do like the way the refs use advantage, it can last a lot longer and if 30 seconds later nothing has come of it then they will pull it back. The ref on Tuesday may well have played the advantage, but I bet he would not have pulled it back for a penalty if Puncheons shot had been saved.

I think Seabourne is a bit hard done by to be honest. I reckon because he was seen as the backup option to Ward in January, people are looking for him to be crap. He's done ok so far, he's no Jaidi YET but neither is he a bad player, I also think he will keep getting better.

Antonio - Will he be a saint next season..?
Barry the Badger replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Nope, he was a runner. -
I think it was what Morgan got booked for. But sounded like they were on the break and it was either let them outnumber us or do something slightly cynical and take the booking. I know which I would rather he did in that situation.
