  1. The goals are stuck in the middle of the hall making a tiny pitch with no back wall, and you aren't allowed to move them because they're locked down. There are no markings for areas where the goals are. It takes them more than 5 minutes to switch the hall from the hockey people who use it before us, meaning we lose up to 10 minutes of our allotted time depending on the week. Not all of us are members leaving many stuck stood at the entry gate waiting for a receptionist to be available to let us in. Nothing earth shattering, they clearly just aren't that bothered about 5 a side groups.
  2. Hi all Following the closure of Fleming Park and its replacement with that very shiny but entirely unpractical new sports centre (don't get me started), my footie team are trying to find somewhere decent to play friendly five a side once a week (ideally Tues or Weds 8pm-9pm). I've tried a load, Solent Sports Centre, Cantell School, Romsey and Mountbatten, Bitterne Park, Tauntons, the list goes on. Struggling to find anywhere with availability. Thought I'd ask on here in desperation, just in case anybody works somewhere with a sports hall and knows it has availability. We're not fussy, just needs to be a decent side for fives, and have the wide but low five a side goals. Cheers Barry
  3. Do you honestly believe that people at the club are putting all this time into a transfer with no intention of seeing it through. So many hilarious conspiracy theories on here.
  4. Your reply is the nonsense. I was sat very close to the dugout and even after the sub (which was clearly to add some height at the back to counter their changes) he was encouraging the team to push up and attack. At one point he was very frustrated with Hojbjerg as he wanted him in their box for a set piece and he was hesitating.
  5. Pellegrino tries to stick to our own shape when opposition change theirs, we lose. People criticise him for not reacting. Pellegrino tries to make a positive change and brings off a midfielder for a striker, we let a goal in. People criticise him for naivety. Pellegrino changes our shape when the opposition change theirs, we win. People still criticise him for making a negative change. I'm really not his biggest fan, but at this point he can't win.
  6. Impossible to draw any conclusion. He was basically playing in behind Long and being asked to get back.
  7. I hope this isn't going to be like Pelle and the crowd start jeering him in his first match having already decided he's ****. He might well be ****, but I hope we can get behind him for at least a few games!
  8. They aren’t going to sack him anyway, you’ll be happier if you accept we are sticking with him so the point is useful.
  9. I’m pretty sure we still get the point mate HTH
  10. I must have dreamt us sailing up through two divisions, winning a lower league cup, getting into Europe, going to a Wembley cup final. The majority of football fans in the country would love it if their club could ‘never get anywhere’ in the way you seem to think we have.
  11. Ok, maybe dismissed is the wrong word but essentially that was the disagreement. He wanted to spend more than the club had, and had committed us to a big spend on the training ground which Katharina Liebherr later had to cover in a loan. He left at the right time for his reputation, the promises he was making to players, which was driving the ambition you mention, were based on us spending our way into the champions league, which was never gonna happen. Sure, a few players and pochettino might’ve stuck around for another year until they realised he didn’t have the money or any means to get it.
  12. By not spending money we don’t have, you mean?
  13. Just to check, we are talking about the same Nicola Cortese that basically got dismissed for spending money we didn’t have?
  14. Agreed. Panic sacking managers is what other clubs do. We are better than that. Pellegrino had that game won until the handball so not fair to sack him for it.
  15. Nonsense
  16. Agreed, if we were capable of making the type of chances Walcott would want, Gabbiadini would be scoring.
  17. Really? He had to work really hard and score a lot of goals before the fans took to him. He was unfortunate in that he was Rickie's replacement, and we were all ****ed off as that was the summer that our promotion winning team got dismantled.
  18. To be fair, he had a major knee injury after signing, may well have lost a bit of pace/mobility as a result and never be the player for us he could've been.
  19. That's not how football works. Way too simplistic. This isn't football manager.
  20. He didn’t look too slow to me when he was steaming past 3 arsenal players on his way to scoring
  21. I think it’s fair to say that Long has done more than a little to earn that reputation
  22. Livermore is their 46th England international
  23. Is there a club out there signing players who aren't aging?
  24. Right, so you're suggesting that out of all the highly qualified medical professionals at the club, none of them have noticed and considered this? I'm sure it's fine, if it wasn't they wouldn't let him do it, end of story.
  25. The clubs are so hot on detail these days, I'm pretty sure if there was any real reason to be concerned it would've been stopped.
