The main problem is that pundits and fans now have access to replays, whereas refs don't. I play five a side at a low level and it's a pretty regular occurrence that nobody knows whether a ball was over the line despite all being 5 feet away, yet if that was a pro game a replay would be slowed down and a referee criticised for not knowing.

Rickie Lambert 2013 Review: Good Listen

Desperate for a cup run, good to hear. Let's hope management feel the same! -
We heard all of this 3 years ago. Turned out he was carrying an injury. He'll be back.

I wonder if they should become stricter on the nationality laws in football. You can play for the country that you spent the majority of your first five years in, and no other. Probably a human rights contravention or some other such ********.
-
That's because they don't get referred. The officials won't be wrong, the ref is wearing a watch which tells him the answer.

I miss the days when the BTCC was a viable alternative. Amazing.

But I thought Fonte was good enough on the ball to play Centre Midfield.

A small part of me thinks fair play to the Pompey fan who at least looked as though he was up for a scrap, compared to the two or three of our lot who went over and then either ran away or spat on him from a distance. Of course technically they're all idiots, but at least the Pompey fan had some conviction to his idiocy.

Moyes is wrong, they can't win the title, and neither can we. We were never going to.et a grip.
-
Pretty sure that if the roles were reversed, we were in league two and one of our players did that with a Pompey player, they would get a fair amount if abuse for it. It's pretty dim of him, it really rubs the Skates noses in their current position to see one of their best players hero worshipping our captain!

Poor effort

Mandela, whoooooah Mandela, whoooooah He fought for liberty He ****in hates Pompey

Yeah, if only we'd scored four in our last home game.

Or maybe he just had a bad game? -
I cannot really see how regional tv deals is going to work long term, I suspect we are heading more towards global deals to distribute online.

I did, and yes I know I was acting like a ****, but we tried so hard to get things going and I was totally exasperated. -

Which is fine, maybe just clap back if you must? To be honest it wouldn't have annoyed me so much if most of the people singing his name hadn't been standing silently there looking miserable for most of the second half. -

In the second half I turned around to try and get something going (which I am aware makes me look like a c***), one bloke did a sad face as if to tell me he was too down. We were one-nil down for ****s sake! I got increasingly frustrated with those around us (which again I know made me look like a c***), and that frustration was topped off when they all piped up to sing "Theo, Theo, Theo" at the final whistle. I looked around and there was sad face matey giving it everything he had for Theo ****ing Walcott. I may have made a **** of myself at this point but that was a shocking, shocking atmosphere. -

So many people stood silently through the second half and only woke up when their hero Theo (who gave us 6 months service before ****ing off) came over. Yeah, good work you morons. -
It's probably harsh to describe Redmonds goal as not being down to good play
-
Chances are that's not his brief. He's probably been asked to put together a relatively short overview with player ratings and a few words on each, to appeal to the masses not to the hard-core tactician. Don't let that get in the way of your ANGER though.

I can understand why commentators were needed up until about 15 years ago, as the picture wasn't always good enough to see who was who. But now, it is a bit pointless really, wish they'd always give an option for no commentary.

I remember people on here saying Luke Shaw looked far from ready in the u21 games, just before he was promoted into the first team and started tearing up the prem.

What a joke. What is wrong with people?
