Actually, when it comes to the games, I've been pleasantly surprised by the support given to Pelle, the chanting of his name after his misses etc, people trying to support him through this bad patch rather than getting on his back too much. Well done Saints fans.

Rubbish, the one handed save was excellent and nobody would've blamed the keeper for not getting there.

I really disagree that it was a "disgrace". The first penalty shout was a blatant dive, sure there was a hand on the shoulder but Djuricic threw himself to the ground and was lucky not to get booked. That undoubtedly plays on the refs mind when the second one comes along an he has to make a quick decision, this player has tried to con him once already and that must put doubt in the refs mind. It's nonsense the amount of air time given to refs when the real issue is the constant attempts to fool them by the players.

When a succession of professional referees (who are just normal people trying to d a job as well as they can) continue to make the same errors over and over again, when there is such a clear pattern of them struggling to get things right, surely the only logical explanation is that it's really bloody difficult? I don't accept that they're all biased or stupid, they are highly trained professionals who are clearly being put into a very tough job and expected to get everything right. The pattern is such that you have to conclude it's just not possible for them to judge everything correctly, especially in the face of such constant attempts to deceive them by the players.

I dunno man, I've watched Villa 3 times on TV this year and they've been SO bad. I can imagine having to watch that every other weekend for 3 years and then getting to Wembley I might get a bit overexcited

Loan players tend to get off lightly because they aren't expected to justify some fee that people can't get their heads around.

Yes and yes. Coutinho was in lots of space as was Berahino. We just haven't been getting that sort of time and space, and even when we have, the shots have been poor with a lack of composure. We had plenty of shots on Saturday, even Yoshida had a go. Schneiderlin's free kick, Elia smashed one into the side netting. We were not reluctant to shoot, we just kept missing because they were largely (with the exception of Pelle's) just half chances.

The not shooting thing is a load of rubbish. We are just not getting in enough good positions, which leads to the fans screaming for shots when it's not really on. We shot whenever it was reasonably possible on Saturday, still didn't score though.

They need to replicate their form of last season, I think it's too far for them. I'd say it's 2 from us, Utd, Tottenham and Arsenal.

Surely if all you're doing is looking at the season to date and then applying that form to the rest of the season, you don't need a new table as it's always going to be exactly the same as the current table?

Some people just don't live in the real world. The club offered a contract when it suited them, Cork is free to accept or refuse that offer as he sees fit. The club may want to speed things up and the player may want to keep his options open. That's just negotiation and each side trying to put themselves in the best position. Yes but he is quite tall and therefore clearly the PERFECT replacement for Graziano Pelle who is also quite tall so they are very similar you see.
