  2. Davis Butterfield Fonte Hooiveld Fox Guly Cork Morgan Lallana Lambert Sharp Just my opinion but I believe Butterfield to be a better crosser than Richardson. I'm sure stats would prove me wrong but think on Saturday with a us raining accurate crosses on an inexperienced CB it can only lead to goals for Mr Lambert.

    RM slot

    Guly............and he will score!
  4. I'm just guessing but Wednesday will be bad, thursday will be worse, friday unbearable and Saturday morning will be unbelieveably tense. However Saturday afternoon by 2.30pm you'll be wondering what all the fuss was about! ;-)
  5. I've highlighted your first mistake there matey!
  6. WEST HAM UNITED : Birmingham (H) home defeat; Brighton (H) draw; Bristol City (A) away win; Leicester (A) away defeat; Hull City (H) home win. 7 points from 15
  7. ITV have scrapped plans for a CSI: Wigan. They realised it would never work as everyone's DNA is the same and they have no teeth for dental records.
  8. Reading 1 nil up
  9. I've only seen him in the home game against Burnley and I thought he played very well. His movement and positioning were spot on but possibly only let down by team mates not releasing the ball to him when he wanted it. There was one attack when he'd got away from the defender and was calling for the ball. However Morgan (I think) hesitated before scooping the ball over the defender which Sharp controlled well but the keeper had come out and blocked it. If Morgan had've released the ball a second or so earlier then I'm sure Sharp would have tucked the ball away. Adkins knows what he is on about and I believe Sharp will be a very effective cog in the Red 'n' White machine for this seasons run in.......and beyond.
  10. Most memorable for me was the 6 nil away win at Wolves. On entering the ground I heard the team news and shuddered as our back 4 was cobbled together. I felt we'd get massacred and it seemed like that would be the case as Wolves dominated the early minutes. seven shots on target in the game and six goals and a brilliant away day. However the Wolves fans were fantastic that day and stuck behind their team for the 90 minutes including singing the name of Mick McCarthy at the end of the game.
  11. I thought he was past it many years ago. Hopefully it won't be us he's coming to.
  12. Card happy and likes to blow his whistle. I think it will be a start stop game with Mr Kettle.
  13. Speaking today to my mate from Burnley and he says Charlie Austin has been well off form these last few weeks and has missed a fair few 'sitters'. Mate is also confident that Burnley can get a draw and will look to counter attack quickly. He is very worried about Billy Sharp as "he always scores against Burnley".
  14. Davis Richardson, Fonte, Martin, Fox Puncheon, Cork, Morgan, Lallana Lambert, Sharp Subs: Bart, Hooiveld, Hammond, Guly, Lee
  15. Doh! They're (not their) missing Vaz Te
  16. their not missing Vaz te are they? He's just signed for the Hammers.
  17. Oh good we're up against Millwall next...lets hope he bags one or two against a 'former' team. Welcome back on our busboat Jason now remember actions speak louder than words!

  19. Enjoyed the game though the first half seemed stop start. Both teams gave the ball away or mis-placed/over hit passes but there was a fine rain and the pitch was fast. Bolton had two very tricky wingers and a centre half who won everything in the air. When we played it on the ground we put him in all sorts of problems. Saints could have been two up with a header cleared off the line and Moore clipping the post with a free kick. We struggled at corners as it has been mentioned Saints aren't a big side. Second half Saints upped the tempo and were rewarded with the goals. Some player reviews although on my one and only viewing of the lads this may be a little harsh. I was sat in amongst the lads parents and I overheard them saying that the first half was the worst they've played ever. Steve Mowthorpe - Not a lot to do and quite comfortable. Slipped while kicking a couple of times in the second half and one kick in the first half which went stright toa Bolton forward. Jack Stephens - my MOM. Mazy run to set up winner. Solid in the tackle and good distribution. Not sure right back is his position as he could easily play defensive midfield. Luke Shaw - Got skinned by the winger a few times but recovered well and got the tackle in. Looked good going forward but sometimes wasn't picked out by a pass when in acres of space. Subbed late on. Jordan Turnbull - Confident lad. Nothing seemed to phase him and he looked controlled on the ball. Bevis Mugabe - Big lad who was fearless in the tackle and threw himself into some blocks when Bolton were trying to get back into the game late on. Conor Sullivan - Came on for Shaw and didn't do anything wrong. Sam McQueen - Troubled Boltons right back but dived into a few tackles Calum Chambers - Good winger with plenty of skills. Stuck to the touch line and neat and tidy on the ball. Harrison Reed - came on as sub. Hassled the Bolton midfield and won the ball back several times. Scholes-esque but can tackle. James Ward-Prowse - It could have been Morgan in the middle. talented lad with an eye for a pass. Joe Curtis - I'm afraid I didn't notice too much of Joe. Corby Moore - Great header for the goal. Gets stuck in and a worthy captain for the night. Jake Sinclair - Lacked a bit of composure but looked a threat. Bolton booted him in the air loads of times but were only penalised once! Took the winner well and could have a few others. Pacey and small. Might do with a move out on the wing. Boo-ed by the Bolton fans which was bizarre. Overall a good away win but not the best performance. team spirit was great and the lads deserved the win. Pity they weren't playing Wigan away in the next round as that would be another short trip for me.
  20. I've signed up for the text alerts as I don't get to many games. The MK Dons game we were two nil and I thought I'd burst if i didn't do something other than stare at Soccer saturday so went into the garden. I opened the shed went in, took out my phone and shouted Come On saints at it. No text alerts so i went on the BBC website to see their text updates and the score was 2-2. I walked back to the house intending to watch the rest of soccer saturday and I received a text. Thinking it was one of the goals I'd missed i was in no rush to check. however i did check it as I went into the kitchen only for it to be Barneys goal and the score was now 3-2. I believe I yelled F**KING GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Hopefully not! I'd like to think we could get Hooper and if he did jump on the bus he'd improve the team in my opinion more than any of the other so-called targets.
  22. I'm trying not to add 2 and 2 together and make 4 but is the OS yanking our chain again with the headline "Adkins Has Irons In The Fire" as Hooper is an ex-Scunny player?
  23. You are assuming he is tweeting about the Saints management set up begging him to come back whereas it is just as likely (or more likely imo) that it is several people on twitter who have been giving him grief and now changed their tune
  24. http://www.bwfc.co.uk/page/TicketInformation/0,,1004~2560969,00.html Just 5 miles up the road for me so I'll be there. Might drag the step-kids along to give the missus a night off.
  25. Just watched the highlights on SSN. We scored as ball was well over the line. Rickies sending off was harsh as both players were on the ground after El Abd had hauled Rickie down. Gutted and not impressed by Mr D'Urso. Good decision to send Greer off though!
