It certainly seems like it to me. With Kevin Kyle stating that he thought he was loaned from Coventry due to the fact he would invoke a clause in his contract which meant more payments once he reached 50 appearences. It would seem it may well be similar with Thomas.

If Smith turns out to be the same sort of player that Holmes has turned out to be then this will be a great signing. Maybe Holmes' injury is worse than first thought?

Not sure if Gasmi has actually joined up with Saints yet. I have also heard (though not from the horses mouth but from someone who lives near someone who knows Thomas) that Thomas isn't really injured.

Sadly when we play midweek it nearly always coincides with the Champions League and Sky are too busy showing either match highlights of the Glorious Big 4 in action or showing articles with the bleedin' Cheeky girls in it because Chelsea happen to be going to play in Transylvania against a club virtually no-one had ever heard of. However when there is 11 CCC games and 1 League 1 playing we are shuffled off to a far corner with only ex Prem team Reading gaining any air time. Like the OP i sat up hoping for some highlights but awoke this morning hoping to catch some before I went to work. Managed to catch Champions League highlights (again!!) and the Reading goals (again!!) before I had to leave.

Our away kit clashed with Rovers home kit so I'd assume they'd have changed it for that. The 0-6 win at Wolves was similar and, if I remember correctly, they used an old training set of shorts and socks. Maybe they did the same last Saturday?

Guilty. Have no connection with Southampton whatsoever as I'm Irish and only moved to England in early eighties through work. Kevin Keegan was my hero as a kid and when he joined Saints so did I.
