Apologies if already posted. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/07/10/tt-report-swansea-join-southampton-in-race-to-sign-speedy-winger/

Took my lad from age 6 to mostly away games as we live up north. Secret for me was a bag of chewy sweets for first half and another bag the second. He enjoyed watching the crowd mostly and can remember an inflatable Spiderman with a Saints shirt on it at Blackburn. Most games he would say to me "That man said the 'S' word", "That man said the 'F' word" and "That man said the 'F' and the 'S' word!". He's 22 now and living in Oz and gutted that he's missed SKD10. So *pats myself on the back* I did good.

There's also the small matter of the Merseyside derby after us on Wed 20th Apr and before their FA Cup match with either the Hammers or Man U. If there was ever a good time to play them then this is it. Hopefully driving my two Everton season ticket holding step-sons home post match will be a smug affair...for me!

Great read as usual. However near the end Juanmi hit a sweet volley which was heading in (I was right behind it) when a Sunderland boot nicked it past the post with the keeper rooted to the spot. Needless to say the ref gave a goal kick!

My boss, who is a Rochdale fan, said Seager was causing them all sorts of problems with his pace. He said he looked head and shoulders better than anyone else on the pitch and said that explains a lot when I said Ryan was on loan from us.

Made a note in my diary on the way here. Simply says: "Bugger".

Try Walton Lifestyles Sports Centre (L4 9XP) where you can park for £5........well it was that last year. I've parked there a few times and its okay but a bit odd as you have to park, then walk up to the leisure centre to get a ticket then back to your car to display ticket. The leisure centre is about a ten minute walk from the ground. Can be a bit tricky getting out as they cram them in. Family day out for me. Going with my Saints supporting son and taking my two Everton (season ticket holders) supporting step-sons. Need to win after their gloating last season.

Points won with my lucky shirt on = 9 Points not wearing it = 1 No need to thank me.

Dame Ndoye - set up both goals.

Liverpool vs Saints - which ONE player did we miss the most

Agree - think we'd have won that match if we'd had Jay Rodriguez fit and playing. -

Had hoped this transfer was just waiting on clearance before being announced and the lad had been training with us all week (so far)......but it looks like that's not happening.

According to Simon Burwood on twitter (@SiCamHd) a SSN cameraman Morgan has just left the training ground. Says he must've got there very early as he didn't see him arrive.
-
Morgan for me. Think they're going to have after saying (something along the lines of) they want to build the team around him.
-
Agree with this. Maybe signing him permanently now would slow down the progress of someone like Isgrove or McQueen and give Saints 12 months to assess the new lad before either committing or seeing if our Academy produces another gem.

Italy-America-England. Destination Southampton. Tomorrow Taider will be signing his new contract with the club to the Premier, all confirmed. The Algerian midfielder will carry out medical examinations in the morning, everything will be black and white. And the resulting official transaction. Negotiations that will conclude on the basis of a loan with the right of redemption in favor of Southampton set at EUR 9 million. Taider sees England, Southampton will be his new home.

Many thanks for the update. Hope we get the managerial post sorted out first then get the main core of the players on board and contracts extended as required. Optimism returning slowly for me but sadly the World Cup interest has gone.

The intern is looking at houses in Manchester? ;-) This is more complicated than I first thought.
-
I thought our manager wasn't interested in the Europa League? Ah well 'tis silly season after all.

was that "The Torpedo"?

....and for Dani Osvaldo to issue an apology to the fans and players and then him and Jose have a tearful hug and a laugh. Then Dani smashes in a hat-trick against Man U before raising his shirt to reveal a t-shirt with the words "I sorry I nearly spoiled the party" on it.

Man City. Be afraid..........be very afraid. The Saints are coming.

I was stood near the dug out and Aaron went over to celebrate with the Physio. Martin Hunter stood with his hands in his pockets and a huge grin on his face and said "F**king get on with it" as Aaron milked the celebration. Thought both Martin and Turnbull looked very comfortable last night but then they were marking only one lanky Bolton lad who was rather poor.

Rory Delap, Rory Delap, when he runs, his ears they flap. Well I hope that's what they sang as that's what I told my eight year old son at the time.
