  1. I think you may get a bit of flack on here if you think Chaplow would only make the reserve team!
  2. Fair comment but; (a)Why was he on the bench if not fit? (b) How come that when he did come on he looked so much better than Harding and didn't look to be struggling?
  3. As long as we put Richardson (a very good RIGHT back - arguably our player of the season so far) at RIGHT back and not Dan Harding (a mediocre LEFT back) - what was THAT all about?
  4. Congratulations! Your ridiculous suggestion has actually managed to make Micky's irrational rantings appear less cretinous.
  5. 4'33' by John Cage on an infinite loop.
  6. Or the Puncheon Guly.
  7. Must be South Korea - they don't allow dissent in the North.
  8. That could be a good call and worth adding a million or two to JP's nominal value. The really interesting thing about this window is not so much whether certain players are good enough for the Championship (Puncheon, Barnard, Holmes, Harding etc.) - they probably are; but whether they're good enough for the (more than probable, if the bookies are to be believed) harder challenges ahead in the Premiership. Maybe the summer will bring a harsher clear out than this window, but players who have done really good jobs for us to get us this far might not be up to Prem football (discuss!) - the likes of Fox, Fonte, Do Prado and Hammond for instance. Personally the only ones I would see being likely successes at that level would be Davis, Lallana, Richardson, Jos, Cork, Morgan (in time) and Lambert (probably!).
  9. This thread should be closed on the basis that it's dealing with hypothetical situations. These have proved to be far too confusing for some on here. That said, 1st or 2nd (the bookies are usually not too far off). 17th?
  10. Stop being nasty.
  11. Yes, but you fail to see how YOU illicit such nasty responses so what hope would you have? Anyway his opening post clearly stated, "I sit here open to being corrected...." - surely that's all that happened - hardly "nasty" in the scheme of things, ask Windmill Arm for a lesson in perspective.
  12. Sorry, nothing to add, but it'd be a shame to let this one slip off the radar!
  13. 'twould be an honour - promotion here we come!
  14. No, they were all crap and played in black and grey stripes for some reason. Even the pitch was grey!? Better to start the proceedings with Bart and that central defender we had on loan from Reading (Bennett?)
  15. If we lose at Coventry in the cup, will that mean that they go top of the league and we'd go bottom? Just asking!
  16. Possibly the most stupid reply ever.
  17. Scouse culture? An oxymoron right up with "Military Intelligence", "Scottish Cuisine" and "Portsmouth Football Club"
  18. 19. I've read this several times now and have no idea what it means. I think it's in english - could anyone enlighten me?
  20. Talking of which the bogs in the Kingsland had run out of Hand dry paper towels for the second match in a row (if they were ver replaced?) This place is really going to the dogs. I think we should call a strike.
  21. Yes, FFS let's report NickG to the Internet Police for suggesting that anyone should discuss hypothetical scenarios on a website chat forum! Whatever next? Good grief........
  22. yes it does!
  23. You're really not listening are you? 1.They TOTALLY care who wins. It is this, coupled with the amounts of money wagered in various directions that determines how much they win or lose and thus HOW MUCH THEY CARE. 2. Southampton's and West Ham's results in the Bristol City and Derby games respectively, had a real and numerical effect on the clubs' chances of ultimately winning the Championship. Southampton definitely reduced their potential total of points by exactly 3 points, West Ham maintained theirs. The only elements open to dispute are the amount that this might affect the outcome, and who may or may not remain as overall favourites. These are not opinions, they are statistically self evident facts. On the up side your first statement is of course correct - they do often get it wrong - it's about opinions amd likelihoods.
  24. Jeeeez, one defeat and the doom-mongers are out in force! I still say that on the vast majority of performances I haven't seen a better team in this league yet.
