  1. We really have that many U21's? I would play most of them in the first team in the present circumstances!
  2. I don't know if the law has been changed, but when I played in goal (a long time ago), you could not challenge a goalkeeper in the goal area unless both his feet were on the ground. Therefore, any interference with a goalkeeper who was jumping was given as a foul.

    Oh dear !!!
  4. How about Rafa Benítez with Lallana as coach? Don't think he is employed at present
  5. That's more like it. Cannot keep leaving KWP out.
  6. Tbf AMc would not do that off his own back. He does it because he is told to. I think it is absolute nonsense- goes against everything we were told as kids. He is an average GK making him commit suicide like that will destroy him. It has to stop! Even Pickford sends it long when no safe short pass is on.
  7. So did I. Right behind the goal.
  8. Many Thanks
  9. Questions for locals. I will be traveling 150 miles for the Millwall Game and haven't been for a while. 1. Is Public Parking still allowed on Town Quay on Saturdays.? 2.Does the bus still run from Town Quay to St.Mary's? 3. Is The Platform Pub still open? 4. What other parking places are there within easy walking distance to St.Mary's Thanks for any advice.
  10. He shouldn't do that! It is ridiculous to take unnecessary risks.
  11. I remember the 3 - 4 game very well! We took along a Leeds supporting friend who was very upset at half time. At Full Time he had a grin from ear to ear and he hasn't stopped smiling since!
  12. What's with all these initials? Takes me a while to work it out!
  13. I think the lineup will be as shown on BBC - not like most of the posters have suggested, eg 3/4/2/1 with KWP & Tella as wingbacks.
  14. It was a penalty with the laws as they are. It wasn't a strong enough a challenge to bring him down but there was 'contact' and Referees will penalise it. Players go down at the slightest touch and it needs a complete rethink on this sort of thing.
  15. FF is great at blocking shots/goal efforts at close range. His huge frame just shuts things off. But, hit the ball towards the corners fom 15 - 20 yards and he is beaten. Also he still doesn't perform well on crosses. AM has more agility and is better at crosses. Overall not much between them.
  16. They were running along together and there was no attempt at any sort of challenge. Their feet touched and Obefami went down. A foul at worst but not a yellow. The game is f***ed with decisions like these!
  17. Why ?
  18. Quoting £250 mil on Talksport ?
  19. Wrong on two counts. The Law is, and always has been, that you cannot charge a GK when both his feet are off the ground in the Goal Area. You are getting two Cup Finals mixed up. Peter Mc Parland broke Ray Woods jaw in 1957 when he launched himself like a missile at Wood. In 1958 Lofthouse barged Harry Gregg into the goal. Legitimate then (both his feet were on the ground) but would be deemed violent conduct today.
  20. Forster should have caught it. However, you cannot barge a gk in the air in the goal area. Foul!
  21. He isn't. Can't you tell the difference!
