if travelling from soton you can buy a Soton - Brighton (not via london) ticket which is valid to clapham junction. You can then buy a travelcard from clapham junction and it'll save you a packet. Don't ask me why but I have done loads of times to save cash. Only problem is finding a train that stops at clapham nowadays, might have to change at woking

posted this on the lambert thread but might be better placed here: God knows what has actually happened at the club, but I still can't see much more evidence than Cortese basically got fired for spunking a lot of Liebherr's money on Ramirez and Osvaldo, and others who have largely been sh|te. There's a pretty long list if you include Mayuka, Forren, Tadanari etc. Most likely the owners recognised our most valued assets have come from the academy or players we have brought in at a lower value and improved, rather than the ones who have commanded big fees. We certainly can't compete with the big clubs on wages, but obviously these players would have passed up the extra 20, 30, 40, 50k a week just to play for Cortese. That seems to be the suggestion. Shame that theory is never going to be put to the test.

**** him. Saints are going to need to make an example of someone before every player thinks they can pull this crap. Throw him in the reserves and fine him the absolute maximum. Sure it will cost us, but it might shift the balance of power slightly back in the clubs favour if they show some balls
