Gao And Nelly - What Are Your Intentions At Our Football CLub ?
marc_saint replied to pluto's topic in The Saints
Behave! He was club captain and played 17 of the 19 Premier League games up until the end of December when he started his hissy fit! (plus 2 in the EFL Cup. It was just the Europa League games that he wasn't involved in) -

To be fair i like that they've cranked up the music volume and introduced it along with the montage over the 15 minutes before kick off. They are trying to ratchet up the atmosphere and i applaud them for that. Much better than giving the away supporters a head start as they are generally always in the group en mass before the home fans. Also, there's plenty of grounds where the sounds at an even higher volume! (Wembley and Leicester immediately spring to mind)

Very few tickets left. If anyone needs tickets I have 3 eligible numbers available if anyone wants to message me
-
Cant wait for the outrage when we only take 1800 tickets for the Spurs game at Wembley. The "full allocation" is 3,062
-
Dont be silly! Only took 1800 last season even with Virgin subsidising it down to £20 a ticket

My ST's are eligible for the Liverpool game if you need to get tickets Poolesaint. (Have to work that weekend)

Who knows what would have happened in their September games if VVD had been playing and was available for the Dutch national team. They could have been in a much better position. His own stupid fault as far as I'm concerned
-
Can see it happening. He wouldn't have to drop much of his wages if Gabbiadini is on £80k as reported elsewhere. Also his wife is a Southampton girl (Is he still with her?) and his family are only up the A34 at Newbury. Would make more sense that any similar team oop north

Are any of them? lol I've used it for each game that I've not been to so far this season and its been perfect. (Discalimer... it's nothing to do with me. I'm just a user who has signed upto the £5 a month subscription)

http://www.saintsplayer.com £5 per month subscription, but quality has been perfect all season

I think that's actually helped so far this season as it's been much better than just playing My Way just before kick off. Having the music loud and up tempo does help get everyone going. Rather than just hearing the away fans outsing us in that 10-15 minutes before kick off

My take on the VVD situation... Many fans of football say that contracts mean nothing these days and in many ways they are right. However, when you sign players up to 6 year contracts you do regain some of the power from the players and the SFC board have to be applauded for this. So why when only 6 months into his new 6 years contract was he actively looking to move. Wanting to leave after being at the club only two years is exactly the same as he did at Celtic so if you're looking at going to Liverpool please don't give it "going for the trophies". (as has previously been reported) Ask Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Ricky Lambert and Sadio Mane how many trophies they have won since they left Southampton. Basically it all comes down to money! That's the reason he left Celtic, and that's the reason he wants to leave Southampton. Going forward I hope that SFC and the board stay strong on this. Refuse to sell. Simple as! Let's see how he feels on September the 2nd when his mind isn't right to be playing. Remember Virgil..... It's a World Cup Year! If he must go that it has to be a MASSIVE bid. VVD will now have lost his 10% slice of the fee now but we still have to give Celtic 10%. He's far far better a player than John Stones and Kyle Walker so any bid has to be in excess of £75m. And please..... Not to Liverpool! He's far too good for them. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man City etc. Basically teams who WILL be challenging to win the Champions League and their respective leagues. Not a team whose only realistic hope is to "get into the top four" Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
