A pretend 'Mr Nice Guy' whose mask is slipping as times get a bit tough for him. Suits the utter turd of a club he manages.

I cannot believe the vitriol on this thread.

That genuinely made me lol. I fear if that was the case, covid would have been about since 2014 and at least half of this forum would have had it. thank you, by the way. I will post ‘my story’ soon... it’s a long old read but worth it if you’re interested in one of the more severe cases (should have been admitted to hospital, I was later told). Honestly though, it was utterly utterly debilitating and took me months to recover. Please keep safe!

I couldn’t agree more with that belief, i only tried it because I felt like I had nothing to lose, especially with how ill I was ... and because it worked for me I’m now a believer. I honestly didn’t think it could make any difference whether I ate a burger or had a ‘broccoli steak’ other than calories but the actual difference in how I feel/energy levels is so very, very noticeable. ive slipped a couple of times; binged on some pepperoni and had a quarter pounder but apart from that, I’ve actually found it easier to find/cook vegetarian alternatives than I thought. The while honey-lemon hot water drink is still a favourite too. At the time, the honey was for the inflammation and the lemon was for hydration.. now I love the drink! Have to go careful with the lemon and the acidity towards the teeth tho 😩 Jusf started up with the exercise again as well which is boosting the energy levels and alertness even more so. I think there’s a lot to be said for the exercise and diet thing...

Thanks egg. I’ll post my story sometime, if it helps anyone. I wrote everything down, I even done an excel spreadsheet of symptoms as I wanted to chart how they waxed and waned... in between my bouts of pure exhaustion. 😂

Thank you! Well, it was the fatigue which was killing me post virus... I woke up, felt like I had been hit by a train and was constantly tired and I mean, not tired I could do with a nap, I was exhausted. Constantly had brain fog, burning skin, aching joints, limbs.. mentally and physically done. someone I know recommended some particular foods and told me to give it a try and be patient. Silly things like more vegetables, a berocca every morning and bizarrely, honey and lemon water - and I’ve not looked back. I don’t eat any meat any more - which is strange as I never ate vegetables but now they’re almost exclusively what I eat. Feel lighter and clearer headed though toilet stops are definitely more frequent. 😕 I initially changed because I was desperate to get better and feel normal again and eventually, by putting better fuel in my body I did. I didn’t stop eating meat in the first two weeks but slowly it phased out once I began to enjoy my new diet and found reasonable substitutes. I never want to do another round with COVID again, it was horrendous.

Best wishes to you. I had neither a cough or no loss of smell, but all the flu symptoms culminating in a solid three weeks of breathing problems... then, the post viral fatigue followed by... Bell’s palsy. all in all, I lost about 4 months of my life but in the grand scheme of things, at least I didn’t lose my life - though this was the first and only time in my life I sailed a little close to the wind and it was terrifying. on the plus side, I’ve changed my lifestyle and diet completely and thankfully, I have no residual affects to speak of since July. it was the strangest illness I’ve ever encountered and it lasted so long. Mentally, it was just as tough as I never thought I was going to get better. honestly, good luck and best wishes on you and your families recovery.

Rotherham didn’t have a shot on target...

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Crab Lungs replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Well done to him. Much safer pair of feet now. Except for when he goes for a dribble... don’t do that, Jannik -
Massive massive credit to big Jannik for his recent turnaround - I honestly thought it wasn’t possible. Agree with Bednarek being dodgy... maybe he’s just having a wobble but he’s looked more susceptible than Stephens at the moment. It’s weird, sometimes it seems we can never have 2 CBS firing at the same time. Theo done a half decent job in his 2nd debut, he’s still not or never will be a winger IMO but will do a job there. I do feel for him when he had that period at Arsenal playing through the middle and was begging to play there after a brilliant run of form and then got shunted wide again, huge mismanagement of his talents. tbh, well done to all the team as getting a point at Chelsea after being 2-0 down is no mean feat, however comical their defence was at times. They’ll be ups and downs this year but I honestly don’t really fear anyone in this league with our side - the first time since Koeman that I’ve thought we’ve got a chance against anyone because we really do have a pop at teams.

Now I’ve calmed down I’d like to say something else. F()ck off. No surprise it’s come from sanctimonious, virtue signalling bast4rds of the Mersey and another club cr4pping itself after falling into a the barren hole of also-rand of English football.

Disgusting. As is the dangling of the 350m for the EFL to help clubs. F()ck off.

This is one of the most backwards threads on this forum. Utterly embarrassing some of the stuff on here. Mccarthy, whilst not perfect, is streets ahead of Forster and Gunn simply because for a start, he does most of the basic things right. And you’ll have to be mentally unstable to suggest Davis was a better GK than McCarthy. i don’t know what it is about him, but he keeps us in so many games but rarely gets the credit for it. That city performance would have been masturbated over for seasons if it was Forster lolloping about in goal. His distribution isn’t the best and he’s prone to the odd howler - but none more so than the likes of de Gea, Lloris etc - in fact, they’ve probably made more in recent seasons. Gunn doesn’t save anything but the fanboys all love his Instagram looks so therefore, he must be a quality GK. Forster makes 2 good saves and 8 routine ones in a cup final for Celtic and all of sudden, he’s ‘back in form’. If anyone would look at the stats, he barely saved a thing when the opposition had a shot. I can’t remember the last time I looked, but I’m pretty sure it was lower than 1.2 shots on targets to goals conceded. but yeah, he’s back in form. He was never ‘in form’, ever. Forster has and always will be, save a couple of performances, utter dog toffee. He gives the defence the jitters, is as commanding as 16 year old nerdy prefect in the school corridors and simply cannot do the basics right. As for Angus, I’d rather have his dad in goal than him.

One of the outgoing transfers in recent seasons I was delighted to see. And to get 15m for a Sunday league player, brilliant 😂 not quite evened up them giving us forecast, but it’s a start.
-
He’s always been dump, save 1 or 2 games, somehow. Broken clock is right twice a day though. reading the spurs forums, they’re starting to realise he’s cr4p now too, but there are plenty trying to ‘temper’ those sweeping assumptions. He is utter tripe though. A complete nothing midfielder.
-
Unless that’s Bycroft, who has been taking lessons from FF.
-
Forster clearly back in form around 3.16 Top top keeper
-
Forster for McCarthy? Have you dropped some acid?
-
Would be nic for Gao et al to end their associaton with us as well. Whole situation reeks...
-
Stepped up, like Jack Stephens has. He wasn't horrendous like Stephens, but was periphial, only ever really impacting 1 in 5 games or so. Now he's a true leader and really coming to the fore under Ralph. Would be fantastic to see him get an extension.
-
Young, so therefore guaranteed to improve. Even though he doesn't save anything, ever.
-
In your opinion. JS has come on leaps and bounds and I wouldn't be adverse to seeing if he could do it as he is quite clearly a bit of a 'footballer'. I see that Harrison Reed is finally, in some respects, getting the noteriety he deserves as a decent player on here now after years of being written off. This forum is classic. Loads of people rating cr4p like Forster, Gunn, Hoedt, Hojberg etc but also quite happy to consistently write off the likes of McCarthy, Reed etc... Every now and then though, the penny does drop. It probably won't with you though, as you never make any admission of being wrong, ever.
