  1. You start .... I'll join in. And for those that can't (or choose not to) remember http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpLRrR3UnCQ
  2. What annoys me the most is the bit about Pinnacle snatching exclusivity from the Swiss on the 29th May. We could have been under new ownership before the end of June and ready to tackle the preseason. As it is, we are barely a month away from the new season with so much to be done.
  3. LOL
  4. WTF is this thread on about?
  5. +1 I hate it when they use the phrase - "talked to the Echo" which usually means they have received a faxed press release.
  6. I thought Wotte was appointed because they could change an existing contract but were not allowed to appoint someone new. I think coaches are very thin on the ground at the mo and it was him or nothing.
  7. Well I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for the coming season. He will still face considerably adversity with a heavily disrupted preseason.
  8. Speaking without any knowledge / experience at all ... it seems logical that the FL and the administrators would have different criteria: (1) FL interested in medium-term viability of clubs to fulfill their fixtures etc (2) Administrators only interested in maximising repayments to creditors in the short-term In my mind this points to the Pinnacle bid being based around leveraged debt, which fulfills (2) but may not be compatible with (1).
  9. TBH If it has been mentioned between sports bulletins on Radio 5 Live, which is a national broadcaster. Would it not be on Radio Solent as well by now with a much higher prominence?
  10. Thanks for that. Well I have been listening to Five Live including the sports bulletin at 12:30 and no mention of it at all.
  11. I just listened to the 12:30 sports bulletin and no mention of anything Saints related.
  12. Really? I must have just missed it. All I heard was a bunch of economists and politicians arguing about the public sector deficit. Turned it off as clearly not as fun as F5 on here! Edit: Of course I can do both with the bbc i-player.
  13. To save a new thread - could you amend to say [Jackson or Lynham] etc etc
  14. So we have a real deadline then. If bids are not forthcoming by next Friday then the club folds
  15. May be this ties in with a bit of gossip I heard from one of my friends in the banking sector. He said that the rumours were that Pinnacle were deliberately delaying things because their financial backing was not yet in place and it would take a further 3 weeks to get ready. This implies that the purchase of the club will be done on finance and we will be saddled with debt. Maybe Fialka is using his property portfolio as collateral. On this basis, not only is the -10 points argument potentially a delaying tactic but may also be a big issue if you are working on tight schedule for loan repayments over five years. One more year in a lower division will kill you. This is probably all rubbish and I am not ITK!
  16. Beat me to it!
  17. Or 5. He wants to take the issues with the league more public in the hope that stoking up some media interest will put pressure on Lord Hawhaw. Fat chance that 5. will work but Pinnacle seem rather obsessed with the ten points issue.
  18. Is it just us that attracts weirdos looking for publicity? Maybe takeovers at other clubs go more smoothly only because I'm not following them so closely. I feel frustrated that we just never seem to have things go right.
  19. Saw the interview and was slightly underwhelmed. There is no a great deal of difference in media persona between him and MJ (whom everyone rather ridicules). Not sure at all that Pinnacle are going to buy this club now - hope the Swiss can put down a large wad of money asap (and not chocolate either).
  20. +1 Well said.
  21. Pinnacle (and I'm wearing my lucky boxers too)
  22. Watched South Today on Sky - all for TL's no-news phone clip. I'm not a business entrepeneur but my limited understanding of the type of people who are (and certainly those worth £100 million pounds etc) are that they are deal makers and not procrastinators. When they failed to complete Friday - I started having my doubts...
