Does anyone think the Birmingham FC connection may put Wolves off? The rivalry between teams is fairly fierce in the Midlands and I am not sure if many players successfully transition between the big clubs.

If I understand it, they have a 20% sell on clause and can buy him back next year for £40M. So, if we sell him for £50M this year, we get the £40M a year early. Anything less than £50M is a bit daft as I am sure that Man City would buy him back next year at the agreed price. Why sell him for anything less?

If you have a cashflow problem then it is a useful workaround. You coul always throw some of the early money at the player wages so that he accepts your terms.

If Pilchards is to be believed from earlier in the thread then Nathan Jones has been one they have wanted for a while, so they may not be rushing into it as much as it seems.

I am just a fan. I have no clue about 90% of the names of managers or players that get banded around on here as if it should be common knowledge. I hope that whoever comes in brings a fresh air of positivity and builds on (doesn't knock down at least) the systems introduced by the club in the past few years. I will back the new manager 100%.

Looking at the contracts up in the summer, it looks like this will be a good chance to shift the dead wood. I wonder if that factored in to the timing for the club's purchase, seems a perfect time to buy us.
