There are many worse run clubs than us. Our issue is the recruitment of players has been poor. Maybe that falls on Mowbray? Do we need a better head of recruitment.. We aren’t in trouble with FFP, we aren’t spending money we don’t have and in a financial hole. We are just crap at identifying players who are good enough for PL level.

Bournemouth. Kepa only on loan for them.
-
Think technically it’s obliged to let the player talk to the other team. If the player doesn’t want to move then it doesn’t have to go through.
-
Is there any point other than to put in the window for sale? we are down, he didn’t want to stick around last time and won’t again so any point in playing now?!
-
The biggest question is who plays along side him. He needs legs and pace which would suggest Archer but surprised he didn’t come on.

Nothing exciting. You have to do confirmation statements each year. As the name suggests, just confirms data held is upto date with Companies House
-
Shock horror I was right.

Everyone knew Fraser was coming back, so your example was stating the obvious on that one. Think I gave up on the apple, snakes, people one. I would go and find it but really don’t care.
-
I gave up even trying ages ago when they were so tedious you could link practically anyone to them
-
It’ll probably be a tedious link based on the colours. There are enough there to spin a story to a team they have managed historically.
-
Is THB the only player to have come out on social media and said something about Martin going?? Seems odd given how well liked he apparently was.
-
It’s similar to Selles leaving Reading for Hull. Doing well at Reading but a mess off the pitch. Given chance to go up a league but to team bottom and he’s taken the chance. Yes they aren’t adrift but managers surely back themselves to turn struggling teams around?
-
Also a proper captain - someone who is good enough to make the starting XI and not shoe horned in every week. Back to basics, make us defensively solid and hope we can pick up some offensive players in Jan.
-
Easier to achieve in an smaller league. Easier to build a competitive squad. Us out the PL will impact them too with less money coming in, you need to get the top of the pyramid working first to really benefit the rest of the group longer term
-
He can use his wealth and contacts to buy us if he likes
-
Appreciate the explanation but there is tedious links and then there is that. Philip to Robert Maxwell 😂😂
-
It’s always on the excess. Not aware of any that have been on full sale price
-
Sell for £18M and Arsenal get 18M, sell for £19M and Arsenal get 18.85M and Bournemouth 150k. this selling so don’t have to pay former club a sell on is nonsense as still beneficial to do so
-
They take 2 mins to do especially when no updates so look like it slipped through someone’s to do list
-
Looks to be a shell company as no trading occurs through it. Their confirmation statement was due in June so is overdue but nothing else is late.

https://twitter.com/theathleticfc/status/1827807913177403705?s=46&t=OQrvtqxdga34G9SV_nKtNQ maybe we are one of the clubs, top of our price range and young.

The difference this season when playing 3 centre backs is we have surrendered the Che Adams player for an extra midfielder - I assume to be more trickier to breakdown. maybe once everyone is upto speed we should go to 4-2-3-1 with Lesley and Flynn as the two with Armstrong BBD and a more trickier (Dibling even) as the 3. Get a proper centre forward in to lead the line. If KWP goes then get a proper left back in too.
-
Let’s see if hes on the bench today or not. That’ll be the indication imo
-
Wouldn’t be so sure. We wanted to pay £2.5M loan fee plus 80% of wages, Arsenal want £5M loan fee.
-
Delap is the only one they have beaten us to. The others would haven’t put bids in for so not sure how we can have lost out on them?!
