Well, he's no Tony Adams, but I'm prepared to give him a go Good appointment, about as good as you could hope for in League One.

Why would a super-wealthy investor leave it so late in the day for such a relative pittance of a purchase? I'm not buying into this one, wake me up next Friday for the bad news.
-
Whatever it means, it does sound ominous but YYR, 'options' isn't 'winding up' and it insinuates there is some form of choice in how to proceed.

There's really nothing to confirm either way. If they do exist, they were considered second best to the Pinnacle bid and if they don't exist, well.. There's been nothing I've seen in the press from any other potential bidders (discounting Jackson) , which means nothing in itself but does nothing for the heart rate. Ultra professionals, non-existents or flaky groupings - take your pick.

There's no Last Chance Saloon I'm afraid, it would just be a "time at the bar" and theu're taking the glasses so better to start drinking now! I still feel confident something will transpire, there's a whole level to this process we're not aware of. (aka. reality)

I'll just put a handy link here to the "Not Today then" thread, just in case, like http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=14273

One reason why I can't see us going out of business.
ITKSaint replied to hypochondriac's topic in The Saints
Legal battle? Who will be paying the lawyers?! Logistical nightmare with fixtures? I think they'll just work around it. Bad PR? That'll be reserved for RL and everyone else involved in the boardroom. I don't think it'll come to going out of business but I don't think those reasons above will play a part, I'm still hoping for a takeover of some kind, -
What do we know about these Swisslings (is that the correct plural? ) I remember lots of conjecture about Pharmaceutical companies, complete with interesting graphics, background detail on the development of the Swiss Pharma sector and so on. Canton anyone fill in any details on who they are? I already feel like a cuckoold, I don't want to be Bernt a second time.

Leeds and Luton received more severe penalties. The rules concerning Administration were crystal clear before we entered into it. The 'cheating' is what those out of pocket by our Administration are feeling right now I should imagine. Aren't these rules there to try and help protect, primarily the football community from exposure to bad debt and secondly the wider business community who do business with football clubs? For sure there are big issues in English football right now with the gulf between the Premier and Football League but you can't lay those on the Football League. It boils down to a numbers game, intentions and 'luck' are wholly irrelevant. Our advantage could turn out to be a relatively free new stadium along with a debt-free rebirth. How we managed the exposure to Administration and the timing of it is really our fault isn't it. I can't imagine the Football League are insensitive to the financial volatility at relegated clubs since they are comprised of many other clubs in similar situations.

...Pregnant pause... :-$

The key word there for me is somebody. We really don't know who, or I don't anyway! The relationships between the parties making up the Pinnacle bid, or even who is making up the bid, aren't clear in any way are they? So, monies paid for exclusivity might put someone out of pocket but not necessarily the whole bid??
-
Paragraphs always welcomed and bullet points FTW!
-
1 - On a par. Fry's interest is getting us sold. The exclusivity is over and he is talking with other parties. Pinnacle are still in prime position with the progress they've made thus far I would assume. And the other parties Fry is talking to could be imaginary of course, except the Photocopy chap who seems all too real. 2 - Any day is a possible day, so yes but.. Enjoy your day :smt039

It's reported elsewhere as being a Premier League club so sadly not and Sheikh's really are so five minutes ago anyway
-
+1 on KK. That's a confusing (but good!) remark if it came direct from MLT and not from Solent??
-
Is this a subtle hint that Bob Geldof is in fact the money man, not Rod Stewart? Have you been Up All Night?
-
No, it would make us look like dirty Leeds. Fighting the FL in court would not be a good thing for us on numerous levels imvho.
-
Does anyone seriously think the club would 'win' in any form of legal action against the FL? If you don't like what the FL league is offering, there is an alternative. Otherwise it's about compromising on the narrow options the FL would offer.
-
I think this bit about covered it. Yes they can.

Has anyone seen the snippet in the Sun today? Won't post it, or a link, but in summary it says, Southampton will be hot favourites for the Bluesquare Premier League if this that and the other. The Peak moment will be Friday, when the deal is Crowned following last minute Summit talks with the Top Brass. Until them I'm staying here in my Troughicle.
