We'll do a deal with Forest where they let us beat them so we don't have to start on -10, then get the decision overturned and stay up at their expense!

The penalty for incompetence is losing your job, not imprisonment. No law has been broken.

Presumably it's a deterrant against mismanaging the club above it's resources, taking a gamble on promotion and leaving the creditors to foot the bill when it all goes wrong - which is exactly what we appear to have done. We are not blameless here (talking about 'the Club' here, rather than the fans).

Yeah - absolutely brilliant joke!!! Do they still give awards out for jokes these days...if that one doesn't win one it's an absolute disgrace!!!!!

"I could have gone shopping with the missus"

I would imagine the players would have the exact same response to your suggestion.

How about you "do your bit too" and donate your wage for this month? Serious suggestion.

I believe the administrators' priorities are currently: 1) Handouts to disgruntled fans who watched a 2-0 away defeat 2) All football creditors 3) Barclays 4) Aviva 5) All other creditors

Unfortunately I have something better to do. Actually, I don't - but I'll find something.

Do you not plan holidays in advance because you may get run over by a bus tomorrow?

It was on me - where's the irony?

Anyone else worried with the big clearout in the Summer that we may struggle to stay in League 1 next year - especially as 4 sides go down and we'll likely start on -10 (IMHO of course).

Why have you narrowed it to Boroughs? The poster said City.

When I first started reading this thread, I though David Armstrong may be a good idea. However the more I have read of it, combined with the weight of popular opinion, the more I see Tommy Widdrington as the man to see us forward. We have been crying out for a true leader who bleeds red and white blood cells, and to have a man who has also not only got a proven track record but done so locally is invaluable. We simply must not let another one slip through our fingers - Brian Howard anybody. My only hope is that whoever decides to buy us in the next few weeks sees the obvious choice in front of him as we all have.

Sounds like John Gorman to me.

Message for Wotte: Play Skacel in attacking midfield role vs Palace

and play who at left back? -
I would be a Senior Manager at BT with my chargeout rate. I can assure you those salaries are way off the mark. For one thing no-one is anything like 100% chargeable over a year plus chargeout rates are intentionally over-inflated so the company can appear to give everyone discounts. It's standard market practise. Thirdly, even after all that, the firm won't pay you anything near what you're charged out at. They need to cover their own costs you know! Fourthly, partners don't earn salaries.

Saga was excellent on Tuesday and really showed up 'ducks while he jumps/miss every header/can't shoot' Jason Euell in terms of forward play.

Wow. Someone pressed a button on the internet to win a few brownie points. Definitely worth a thread.

If you believe divident payments are the issue here you are completely missing the big picture. We were not building up a big stockpile of cash.
-
There's a fixed amount of money available. It can go into: a) investing in football team b) paying off debts c) sat on the build up cash reserves (possibly then also distributed via dividends, tho this is unlikely to any great extent in a football club) Since c) definitely didn't happen, I fail to see how you could simultaneously increase a) and b). If you are saying you wished we had more money available, then I agree with you, but that is different to saying we should have distributed what we had differently.
-
Where would the extra money for either have come from? It's not like we've been sitting on a huge pile of cash!

At what time were these photos taken?

This blatant contradiction in terms shows why Matt shouldn't be let anywhere near the running of a football club!
