Makes sense as to why they had to raise £15m player sales to fund the £3m CVA in the first year. Since Balram hasn't been taking his cut maybe they are in a better position than we thought. Some of that will be going towards agents fees / sell ons etc tho. Perry Ryan, Ellis Martin, Peter Gregory and Billy Goddard are first year pros and are not counted towards the squad. They do also have Tom Kilbey who they are choosing not to register / list. He hasn't ever played a competitive match even tho they signed him from Milwall in 2007, sent him on loan to Dagenham & Redbridge last year and went on the US pre-season tour (he scored in the first match). I think he's injured at the moment so they've been holding him back. Therefore their squad, excluding those players and therefore counting towards the 20 are: GK 1) Jamie Ashdown (signed pre-season ; free agent) 2) Liam O'Brien (trying to send him out on loan) 3) Darryl Flahavan (signed this week ; free agent) DEF 4) Carl Dickinson (signed early in season ; loan from Stoke) 5) Aaron Mokoena (may be off if bid comes in) 6) Joel Ward 7) Ibrahima Sonko (signed pre-season ; loan from Stoke) MID Matt Ritchie 9) Marc Wilson (probably off) 10) Hayden Mullins 11) Michael Brown 12) Richard Hughes 13) Marlon Pack FW 14) Danny Webber 15) David Nugent (surprised no one bid for him in the end) 16) John Utaka (probably off) 17) Tommy Smith 18) Nadir Ciftci 19) Kanu (signed today ; free agent) Now it's looking likely Utaka and Wilson will be off, with Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence replacing them. That leaves one spot in the squad. Hermann Hreiðarsson is at the club but not being offered a contract until his injury clears up. Similarly as I mentioned Tom Kilbey is knocking about but not being registered. It seems like they will need to be sending out a few more youngsters on loan if they want to sign anyone else. They've already been touting around Liam O'Brien, and even said signing Flahavan was dependent on sending O'Brien out.

Is this hissy fit because he called oyu a drama queen? Grow a thicker skin and read the rest of his post. He makes a good point. -

Nutshell. -
I think I agree tbh. It does seem like an awful lot of money, which I have reservations about, but at the end of the day he was still doing it for Man U in the Champions League last year and has already scored in the Prem this season, so could probably still make it into our first team. Or at worst provide good backup / competition for Guly or Hammond.

What about the game after, v Swindon. And the Rochdale. Are they "could do with winning" games?
-
Yes - she's going to put on weight and your sex life is going to go down the pan. Good luck with the betting slip.
-
Is our next league game, against Bristol Rovers, a "could do with winning game"?
-
Thought he's been puncheon above his weight in the last few matches and is getting found out.

I'm never sure what's the best way to get the attention of the admins, so it's useful to hear your feedback that starting threads about complaints gets you thinking about it all day. I'm always worried that PMs end up getting "lost in the system", especially the ones which go to a 'catch all' account like reported posts do (I can't PM directly so end up having to report a DBP post - 2 birds one stone), so it's a relief to hear starting such threads is indeed the way to go.
-
Can we have a bit more negativity on this thread please chaps.

The Professor makes a good point, and I for one am convinced. We should make sure we don't get one of the two automatic promotion spots, and if we do get in danger of making it should make sure we lose a game. We should all start booing the team if we start winning too much - perhaps a coordinated concerted effort to get everyone to sit in the away end if we face a crucial must-lose match.

Which is incredible as you were in Shirley Swimming Pool at the time!

Wishful thinking perhaps. I remember coming out thinking I'd aced all of them and got straight As. That's what happens when you actually do the work rather than ****ing about drinking / taking drugs / having sex.

Yes, I agree. Women often deserve a good beating, and worse. I wouldn't restrict it to just if "they started it" tho - that's just childish from the playground. I like to dish out the punishment whenever a woman steps out of line. One time I was meant to meet a lady in a pub for a few drinks, on a date like. She completely stood me up, arriving 10 maybe 12 minutes late. I was infuriated that she would humiliate me like that and laid her out, breaking her jaw in 3 places. As she hit the deck she was able to mumble something about her Dad dying, or some other lame excuse, so I kicked her in the tits. Sometimes it's the only language they understand.

I think the article you quote is being unfairly pedantic on the Observer. In reading I believe most people would get the point that the statistics say your kid is three times more likely to get an A* by going to Private School than to State School. Yes it's wording is a little lax, as they point out, but for me it's a dodgier stat (for people to understand) to start publishing that State Schools outnumber Private Schools 2:1 in A*s, when that's purely based on there being far more people attending State Schools in the first place. What the Observer has done is moved it onto a like-for-like basis which is easier for people to understand.

Why would their opinion be any different in "the real world"? That seems to be an odd thing to say. What reason would they have to lie? It seems to me what you're attempting to say, in only a thinly veiled way, is that you would like to "meet" these people in "the real world" and try to intimidate them into changing their mind. Which is what Wilco is saying and is how you're coming across.

Yeah, some of the hardcore gay porn really is top notch.

Do you meet a lot of people on forums then Stu?

He's doing the role of the Director of Football at Saints. Don't worry - certain others aren't quite up to speed either. QUIM

What's the fantastic idea?

Out of interest, which firm?

So you're saying he was the worst footballing defender you have ever seen based on 23 mins of play where he was played out of position at the tail end of matches where we were not playing our usual tactics.

W@nkers. Just c****. "strike action is the last resort to stop our members' living standards falling for the second year in a row." Why should they be immune to the economic realities of the last 2 years?

How come every single time this site goes down due to heavy traffic we're treated to the message "this forum will be down for a few hours while we install a few essential upgrades"? Just effing update to the latest version and stop faffing about.
