  3. I cricket really that much worse for knowing whether someone caught the ball or not? Or tennis for getting a line shout right?

  5. What about me Ben? I'm coming all the way from New York to go to the game.
  6. Thanks buddy!
  7. And tampons.
  8. He's paid to get results, not to play the most attractive football. At that, he has generally been very successful over a long period of time (in relation to expectations of course).
  9. Ok, we both know he did in reality, but if you want to stick with the pedantry let's look at what he said: Your interpretation is a very strange one. You've had 2 insert two bridges from your imagination that aren't there to get close ("...but now it's at 3pm", "but that could be a good thing because..."). The sentence is clear without those and reads "The game is on at 5.20, that's annoying, on the plus side you get more drunk but then you'll suffer for it in work the next day". Worst case both interpretations are possible (though that's a stretch) so you still can't say MLG is wrong. I'd suggest you are the one with your head in the wrong place as you are so desperate to do another poster down you are not looking at the facts - something MLG happens to be pretty good at. Btw nobody is struggling with the fact that by "school night" he means it's Sunday. It's amusing how angry this has made you. Agree, particularly the vitriol from Steve Grant.
  10. Yup, understood it as that. Sun - Thurs eves are "school" nights as you have to face the hangover at school/work the next day. It's just the game was never on Sunday at 5.20pm as was claimed. I'm guessing you've got that now, and will be suitably leaving the pub at 2.30pm
  11. He said is was at 5:20 on a school night. It isn't and never was. It was moved from 5:20pm Sat to 3:00pm Sun. MLG is, again, correct. Keep trying.
  12. I'm with MLG on this one. Yes, Christmas and Easter are special times when they intentionally cram loads of games into a short time to give fans something to do. Everyone's aware of it before the season starts and are ok with it as it's not a regular occurrence. It's also conceivable that a club would have to do it towards the end of the season due to unplanned backlog of games needing to be completed by the end of the season. But the rest of the time (such as this period we're talking about) it'd be very unusual to force clubs to play 2 games with only one rest day. I'm not saying it's never happened, but I'd also like to see how many examples there are of it happening per the original statement, implying Birmingham are getting special treatment: Most teams play 2 games in 3 days nowadays so don't see why the League have accomodated Brum But hey - don't let that stop you being a d*ck to MLG if that's what you're desperate to do.
  13. " This Hypo guy seems a decent chap. "
  14. Yeah, but where is Matt Mills now though? Cranie is playing regular football at an established Championship club (Coventry).
  15. Ha ha! It's hilarious that you're all posting complements about how he has cleaned himself up, because if you do a search on him (I did) you can find he has actually done a few bad things recently (ok, not so bad but still he's not perfect)!!!! For example: He beat someone up a few weeks ago(!!) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-14691913 And then only today he's been arrested for drink driving http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-14878565 Funny old world!!!

    New York?

Around $200 per night. Best deal is to book and pay in advance from Orbitz / Expedia etc. Try Priceline where you can name your price and often get a cheap hotel, except you don't know which one until you've paid (the anonymity helps protect their rack rates). Most hotels are in midtown area, quite near Times Square. That's fine, but don't fall into the trap of thinking it's the area to go out at night. It's not (unless you're seeing a show of course). Handful of soulless Irish bars scattered around is all there is.

    New York?

I live there, so am ITK on this site at last. Rockefeller > Empire State Highline is a hidden gem Best bar: Red Lion pub in Grenwich Village
  20. Just got it. Very good!
  21. Pay-as-you-play are a myth. Never happen, unless it's for a 40 year old who's about to drop down dead any second.
  22. I'm writing him off. He's going to be crap.
  23. I'm always amazed that doesn't happen more. Just because one team says they'll pay your team a satisfactory amount of money, why does that mean you will want to uproot your whole life, family, friends, training regime, workmates? Doesn't make sense.
  24. Mode, can we put this important question to a poll: Would you rather lose to Leicester City or Portsmouth?
