  1. I only get to a couple of games a year not I live abroad so it doesn't affect me, but I hope they do get it sorted as it seems to be a real bugbear for many on here. Good on Ralph if he's made it a priority.
  2. I'd like to see this happen MORE often.
  3. I see what you're saying (tho also misinterpreted you at first). There's now no need to have 2 people standing over the ball at the start, for fear of losing possession if they tried a longer pass. You can just pass the ball backwards to where someone is standing further away from you, with no danger of being intercepted. That's a good rule change actually, as previously you always needed two people there just to make the same backwards pass (would always be risky to go directly forward from there before your team mates have advanced).
  4. That's a REALLY old rule and would lead to a lot of goal-hanging, as you'd only need to stay behind the keeper! Plymouth still in the playoffs hunt, no?
  5. They beat WBA by 1 or 2 goals and we draw with Palace? Doesn't sound so unlikely to me. In fact I would say it was the second most likely outcome after a win for both of us.
  6. Worth mentioning too that neither of his goals on Sunday were particularly great shots - keeper would be very disappointed with both.
  7. That's fine, if he were to join he'll soon find he won't have to worry about any big match situations. When was the last time we were in one?
  8. Why did the odds drop to just 4-1 in your first scenario these?
  9. IF I was to buy in to the fact he may come to PL for one season and none of the 'traditional' top 6 want him, I can't think of any reason for him not to join Leicester. They would also have plenty of space under the 'salary cap' of FPP, and while they are living the dream this would be a cherry on top!
  10. Idiotic comment!! It was actually a really BAD week for them you numbskull. Not only did they LOSE to us (badly at that), they also went OUT of the Champions League!!! In what way is that a GOOD week?!?!?!?!?!
  11. He should go to Leicester then, just for sh!ts.
  12. First time I've heard Liverpool be described as a "dreamland".
  13. In my view it's Route One with a little-man, big-man combo up top, and with 'real' tackling. Booootiful.
  14. One for Dean Hammond too then?
  15. Is that the Schecktoplasm?!?
  16. I didn't intend to but I'm finding ScepticalStan's arguments rather compelling and am starting to agree with him. I feel like one of those jurors in Twelve Angry Men.
  17. But they'll never have more than 25% chance of winning it at this stage (4 other just as competent teams left in it) whereas they can make top 4 finish all but certain if they put their strongest team out in their next couple of league matches. I don't personally disagree with what you're saying, but it's not a completely crazy position to take the other view - particularly with the negative signals of not making the CL. A lot of the people above are making the assumption that if they prioritise the CL then they will then win it, which is far from the case and there are serious costs to going for it.
  18. Awh. Can't wait to see you too, big guy!
  19. "...oh yeah, and Dusan Tadic played nice. I presume."
  20. Are you asking him to repeat what he said on Page 1? Where he said that if Man U lost and Saints beat Villa there would only be 2 pts between us, and so the Man U v Palace result carries some significance to us? Why not go back and read it for yourself? It's still there.
  21. So it's not just westcountry Uber drivers complaining that the Mendips are a pain in the ar$e.
  22. Good luck with that. Let us know how you get on.
  23. What about those who stay with major local companies AND start driving with Uber, Essruu? Surely they will do the best. Also a lot of people on Uber don't do it full time, but do it in their spare time to earn a little extra mullah.
  24. Well, that's ruined a bloody good discussion. Can we pretend that didn't just happen... Personally I think Uber is a great thing and along with other disruptors like Airbnb gives many more people the opportunity to provide a service that, frankly, anyone could do. We all live in fear that our nice cushy jobs may be made obsolete by new technology, and so I'm sure the old guard taxi drivers are going to fight tooth and nail against it. What they should be doing is focusing on what makes them superior to the new upstarts, stay current with the latest innovations offered by the disruptors and then if they do that they will be offering a better package to the consumer. If they can't do that, then they'll find themselves going the way of the miners.
  25. So why didn't we then?
